I love going to The Baum pub. The food is great and the range of beers, lagers and wines is superb. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The beer garden at the rear is huge, sheltered and a real sun trap. This is not a cheap place but highly recommended for a pleasant sociable visit.

The food at the Baum is of very good quality anfd is extremely good value for money. I have eaten here numerous times and the food is always excellent and the service is great. Being from Rochdale, i cant believe i have only just discovered the friendly atmosphere of this pub. If you get a chance then definately try it.
I suggest the Ploughmans as you get loads and the lumberjack chips yum!!

Great food, great beer (4 "proper" daught beers, one cider, several lagers, Leffe, Kriek, excellent selection of botled beers) great decor, very friendly, nice seating area out back (wish it had been warmer), really couldn't have been better. And visit the Co-op museum next door, worth a visit.

Review of The Baum from 3 November 2008

The Baum looks like a traditional English pub with dark wood, etc. At first glance it appears small but there are actually several seating areas and a garden although it gets very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. They do real ales and some interesting beers as well as a selection of good wines that are available by the glass as well as the bottle. They also have a tapas menu. Somehow the people you meet there always seem friendly.
Overall, a very good place to go for a relatively quiet drink but go early if you’re going at the weekend.

Review of The Baum from 6 April 2008

A really nice old-fashioned characterful pub on a short cobbled street not far from the center of town. It has a good range of draft real ales and a extensive selection of foreign bottled beers.
Most lunch times and evenings they do a good range of both traditional bar meals and their own variation on Tapas. They have a good sized beer-garden at the back complete with Boules pitches.
The only drawbacks are: it gets very busy at the weekend and it can be rather expensive.
