I always prefer the Liberty to any other shopping centre, always clean and tidy. The security work hard keeping the undesirables out. Lots of shops and bargains to choose from. Love it!

Review of The Liberty Romford from 2 February 2012

This is a very lively shopping mall with many recognisable brands and shops to choose from, i.e topman, orange, next, game, footlocker etc. The layout of the mall is vibrant and having shopped there several times I have found it to be a great place to find everyday neccessities as well as other luxury items.

I love the Range it makes me feel like i’m in a different world when I step in. There are so many designs and inspirational ideas that my company (PinkCreamBlue) can use at a Baby shower or Sprinkle, or Bridal shower.

I must admit there is a shortage of staff as I can never find one around. Everytime I visit have to walk all the way to customer service for answer to my qustion or to find things, but because i love the designs in the store i’m kept in there for hours with a smile on my face. When you do get help the staff are very friendly!!

Thanks for being there Range X

Theres a massive range of shops under one roof and you should fiund something to meet your tastes. It now has a roof on it to make it a 'mall’ though back in the day it was simply a collection of shops - i’m not complaining as its much nicer now even though it really really echo’s.
You can also expand out from the mall and visit the various shops around. Theres also the market running on various days, though a word of warning - it does get extremely packed on a saturday!

A wide range of shops are included in this centre and there are several others in the surrounding area.
Much of Romford shopping is now indoors making it an ideal choice for winter and it usually has a nice christmassy feel this time of year.
There are also several stand-alone stalls which change regualrly in the shopping centres adding variety to the experience.
The market is also very good for clothes, gifts and food.

The Romford Liberty is an excellent location to buy all that you need - everything is in one place! The great Romford Market, the High Street and the Indoor shopping centre all combined in one area.

There is a high storey car park which gets quite full over the weekend, there is also a car space available on the Brewery site, these are all pay and display and vary between 0.80p an hour to 1.20 an hour. However Sundays are free!!

If you don’t mind public transport I suggest using trains and buses to get there. The main train startion - Romford Station is central to both the shopping area and the market.

There are a variety of places to eat and snack, with a great fresh bakery (Godfrey’s of Hornchurch) located indoors.

In the liberty area upstairs there are great restaurants (Nandos, Pizza Express etc) there is also a tenpin bowling court, a cinema and a fantastic indoor play area for kids (kid space)

Food is what you would expect of a chain pub. Its taesty but nothing spectacular. The staff are very friendly and service is very good.

They are ideal if you have children and will do their best to accomodate even the fussiest of eaters. We always go here at least once everytime we visit romford.

The Mall in romford is much better than the Mall in ilford. The Liberty was redeveloped a few years ago and has a fabulous glass ceiling (where it used to be exposed). There is literally every shop you would want. Primark is one of the busiest! I recently went at about 4ish on a Wednesday and found that is was a lot emptier and a lot nicer to shop around in, especially when doing some xmas shopping. There are also plenty of food places dotted aroun.

A rather run of the mill indoor shopping centre. It’s vastly improved from the days when it was open to the elements with the “stage” in the middle area but it’s now rather faceless.

Stores such as M&S, BHS and H&M form part of the complex. Various concession stalls can be found in the middle of the atrium along with the obligatory cafe.

Seating in the mall is limited but does exist.

The mall tends to be clean and bright although take care in the wet as the polished floor is very slippery and there have been many accidents.

The Liberty shopping mall is part of “The Mall” chain of malls and has a similar feel to malls elsewhere such as The Mall in Camberley.

The Liberty is not owned by The Mall Corporation, its private owned by The Cosgrave Property Group.

The Centre formally known as Liberty 2 (the one with Wilkinsons)is now TheMall.

The Mall is quite a vibrant place with many of your usual shops in a nice and airy space. The only snag is the places to eat such as pubs etc are in South Street which is slightly away from the Mall.

I do still love shoopping in Romford, I have my weekly visit there every Sundays as you get free paking so can shop all you like. Romford has developed so much over the years with so many shops inside and outside, also there is a market which takes place a few times in the week. The shops range form designer like Aldo to budget primark. Also there are events going on n the weekends which you can watch, as lately they have been doing auditions on stage for annie the play.

Review of The Liberty Romford from 15 August 2008

I used to be a religious Romford shopper, every weekend - until i passed my driving test and learnt of new places such as lakeside and bluewater. However, Romford still serves its purpose.

There are a wide variety of shops which cater for all needs and budgets, from choice design wear to Primark. They have now extended the mall to further shops which previously were out in the opening - which helps alot when it rains! The toilets and surroundings have all been done up recently too so the whole area is very modern and clean. There is also ample car parking facilities although they have combined both car parks now which is slightly annoying having to drive all the way through the downstairs car park to get out to the original 'Mall’ parking. Also when leaving, if you take the wrong lane for the exit you end up going back inside and all around that to get out (what used to be the old entrance)

They have even extended their food facilities, from fast food to cafes you should be able to find something you like - and their bakery isnt bad either.

You dont really see staff around much, although the cleaners can sometimes get in the way and be oblivious to other shoppers (but then their job is to cleana nd we are disrupting this)

All in all, it is still a great place to shop. It offers all the shops available in bigger shopping centers, and the added bonus of the market. The only thing i was suprised about is they dont have a river island, which is slightly disappointing!

Not a bad shopping centre, but I preferred it when the big 60s square fountain was there! As speakingup says, Romford is all a bit hotch-potch now, with Liberty, the Brewery and the market etc all split over relatively vast distances.

The Liberty is definitely the pick of places to shop in Romford though, and it still has a decent amount of what I call ‘High Street’ shops, where you can get stuff you need and want, as opposed to lots of up their own rear-end designer shops and stuff.

Shopping facilities have improved dramatically in Romford over the past few years, and now a large indoor shopping mall has been added, enclosing the stores that were previously exposed to the elements.
The Liberty shopping centre has a good selection of clothes stores, places to eat, and more slightly random selections, such as a shop to buy calendars and a barber.
Despite boasting a mall, shopping in Romford still feels a little bit disjointed and, unless you are very familiar with the facilities, you might spend a great deal longer than planned if you are looking for a specific item. Still, overall The Liberty mall is a pleasant, busy and vibrant place to shop, and is worth a look, especially if you’ve got a whole afternoon to fill.
