I’ve only used the Conference Facilities here, so can’t comment on the bedrooms or room service.

The Conference Suite has a wide choice of rooms for events, including a truly impressive, double height auditorium with state-of-the-art presentation facilities, which can seat 600, theatre-style. It also has 8 purpose- built training rooms, 7 syndicate suites, 2 further meeting rooms, and 4 executive dining suites. Most of the rooms have some natural daylight.

The public areas are all finished to a high level of quality - acres of polished marble floors and walnut-marquetry doors, and seems to be maintained to a similarly high standard (ie the toilets were immaculate). The style is a sort of cross between modern art deco and the ‘international luxury style’ so prevelant these days - you could be in Beijing or Cape Town - but it all works reasonably enough.

The Conference Suite has its own entrance adjacent to the main lobby. Food and service seemed pretty good - very upmarket canteen rather than haute cuisine, but fine for your average conference or away-day.

My only quibble is that some of the rooms have lowish ceilings with slightly intrusive ventilation noise which can make listening hard. Consider asking for microphones for medium sized events.

This is a 5 star hotel right outside Fenchurch Street station so you couldn’t ask for a more central venue to lay your head. It’s minutes away from the Tower of London and the upper floors have fantastic views of the City. Its location makes it ideal for business travellers or tourists who have a bit of cash to splash.

Everything about this hotel is first class. The rooms are comfortable and elegant, the meeting facilities are state of the art, the restaurant is superb and the fitness room and pool are great.

As elegant as it is, it’s also very child friendly which is refreshing!

On average, it’s £195 per night for a double room so it’s on the upper end of the pricing scale but not excessively so (the Hilton on Tooley Street is often £100 per night more expensive).
