5 Stars, This place is amazing! If I could I would give even 10 stars. This place is on a small street in a very touristic area. Once I was stying in a hotel nearby, and walked pass this tiny srumpy strange restaurant. luckily I went in as I dont know if I have ever had such good Italian food! Even I have been in italy many times. I would say that 98% of the restaurants in this area just arent worth going in… Exept this place ofcourse.
This place is run by 2 old Italian gentlemen. They are the sweetest gentlemen ever! Such great personas. Once we were lucky enough with my friend that Gigi sang some opera to us. Oh it was wonderful. The pasta is great, and what is also funny is that they have many bowls of food in different tables, and you can ask what you want to have. Personally I am a vegetarian, but all my friends that i took there said the prosciuto was very good. They cut it just there. very thin, very nice indeed. As for the desserts… !!!!!!! If not anything else, you must order their tiramisu and pannacotta!! The desserts are so heavenly!! Best tiramisu in the world.
The place it self is just an experience. It is tiny tiny place, and it seems that it has been there forever, and they have collected all sorts of memorabilia through the years. SO kitchy but so homy. Weird items all around. Everytime when I go to Paris, i visit this place and I never cam get tired of it.
I have recommended this to may people I know and everyone has loved it. Its so special. Not a fancy place at all, not all the cups are the same, all plates are different, but just so good home made italian food. Alway good atmophere, and it seems they have a lot of regular customers. i believe this is a place that once you are lucky enough to find the place, you will want to go back again. Too bad my ebglish isn´t that great, I just don´t have the words to tell how in love I am with Lósteria dal Gobo! Please, if you are around, go there , you won´t get dissapointed!
Nearest subway station is “Grand Boulevards” 5t is on a same street as Best Western Hotel Bergere.
