Good range of beer, but the DJ on Saturday January 12th, 2013, was rude, offensive and played poor quality music which did not suit the place. He was also lied when we made requests, saying they already had too many. When I asked him afterwards, I was told that he "Doesn't do requests, **** off and go to a club where you pay to get in if you want requests". Aside from that, good pub with a good atmosphere and friendly bar staff - would have been 5* if not for the DJ.

Great pub, close to the station (and the rest of the town bars) it has a good selection of drinks on offer. Food is ok, it wouldn’t be my first choice of places to eat in Reading, but it is nice for pub grub if that’s what your after.

It has a nice lively atmosphere in the evening, but can get very busy after wok on a Friday.

When stuck for a place to find cider in Reading (and good old Weston's cider!) This is definitely the best and most quirkiest place to go! With delicious food and a great atmosphere, it makes for a great place to stop before heading home on the train.

A spacious but cosy feeling gastro pub opposite Reading train station, nicely set up for its regular live music nights with a small stage and a decent sound system.

The food is reasonably priced and pretty tasty with decent veggie options including macaroni cheese, salads and a "hippie" burger.

It's not a completely friendly place - the surly manner of the bar staff leaves quite a lot to be desired plus they all seem to be dressing like Nathan Barley - but there were some really good DJs there on Wednesday night.

Fab selection of beers - and the chunky chips are great too.

Only issue I would say is that it gets pretty heaving on a Friday night and the smoking area outside is so small that the smoke manages to creep in - yuk!

really nice bar which is easily accessible from the station. It has a chilled out feel to it and the music on the night i visited was really good. The selection of beers available is really good nad they are reasonably priced which is an added bonus.
