Old Nick

Nice pub with a nice atmosphere, the large outside area is great in the summer months for enjoying a post work drink outside in the sun.

I really enjoyed it here on Friday night. The place has a good selection of beers and ales and a great outside area for standing around and drinking. It really felt like the first day of spring.

This has been recently done up and has improved a lot. The sausage sandwich is really tasty and great place to pop in at lunch or after work. Gets packed inside and out during the summer.

A pre Christmas visit (well it has an appropriate name) found a good pint of Pickled Partridge as one of the 3 ale choices on offer in this pub.

The music was good and they know the right volume to play it at. This big, bright bar off the main streets is quite a decent find!

As this pub is right behind our offices, and the ease of proximity means my visits area little more regular than they normally would be, this may be a bit bias!

Revamped a little while ago it is decorated with wooden floors and smaller wooden enclaves that is traditional without being stuffy. Despite is bright exterior colouring, the inside is dimly lit and comfortable.

A winner in my eyes, they have an excellent little wine list that has something on to suit your taste and pocket. The crowd is always friendly and due to the layout, even in the post-work drinks rush it does not feel too full.

Good for an out-of-the-way drink if you’re not from the area.
