Mount Pleasant Hotel

As a seasoned Best Western user this is 1 of only 5 “Premier” BW hotels in the UK. We got there late in the evening so no dinner to review but the room was huge and had a sofa and large TV. A large bathroom with both bath and shower, all well decorated. The bed was kingsize and comfortable. With complimentary newspaper under my arm we went to breakfast. Plenty of cereals but fruits and pastries could have been a wider choice, the full English was very good though. All in all to be recommended and phoning to book the room got a better price than the web-site offered.

I have been several times to the mount pleasant hotel,its rated as four star and i think it deserves it,well you have to earn the stars and they are not given away you have to prove your worth,The food in the restaurant i found to be of very good standard and very good service,the surroundings are of a country house and are reflected quite well i think.Prices are a little high,but 4 stars warrants the charge..ther are 3 stars in doncaster if you want cheaper and 2stars if thats what you want.
We spent Boxing day lunch at the hotel at £35.00 per head,it was only a glorified sunday lunch but we enjoyed it thoroughly.
i would recomend it to anyone who wants a nice place to be with nice people and enjoy the ambience.

Really lovely place to eat whether that be in the main restaurant or the Bar (which is almost as good as the restaurant to be fair) the food is lovely and cooked really well. It is a little on the pricey side, but you don't mind paying it when the food, surroundings and service are as good as this, well worth a try.

Good quality food if a little on the expensive side - although nice for a special occasion.This is a good quality hotel situated on the outskirts of Doncaster.There is a small bar area where you can sit and order your food.The dining area itself is quite plush, the tables are well spaced so if you want a quiet meal for just the two of you this could be the place to go for.A good menu selection and also a good range of specials too.Deserts are hard to resist.

I’ve been to the Mt Pleasant twice - once was great, the other was rubbish! Never stayed overnight though, so can’t say anything about the rooms.

The good experience was a friend’s wedding - it was a fairly small affair, but everything was beautiful and the bride & groom couldn’t praise them highly enough.

The rubbish one was a Christmas party night. Cold turkey, quite literally. The usual obligatory shoddy DJ playing Cone On Eileen and YMCA while you nearly collapse in shock every time you have to buy a round. We had a good night, but that was really despite the surroundings rather than because of them.

It’s a shame that for a hotel of this size and prestige there’s no gym or leisure facilities - all the ads for Wellbeing etc only refer to a beauty salon. It’s just a few minutes from the airport so handy for that, and not far from Bawtry or Doncaster. I’d recommend it, but not too highly.

Recently refurbished lounge area is modern and relaxing and a great place to hold an informal business meeting or meet with friends. The food is always good, with a decent choice. The hotel rooms are still a little outdated but clean. Good value.
