A magical place in the Casablanca valley, situated on the road between Santiago and Valparaiso (72nd kilometer of route 68. From Santiago, go past the estate on your left, then take the next exit and then turn back along route 68 towards the vineyard). The wine-producing estate is a haven of peace.
Surrounded by vines, the “chateau” is a pretty white building in a simple, classical style. I sincerely recommend that you visit the cellars and walk through the vines, which are laid out by grape variety.
The restaurant is very very good quality, with excellent service. The menu is quite large, but not so large that it compromises on quality. The meat is really good and the wine comes from their own cellars. Take the waiter’s advice and try the house aperitif (sparkling wine with a dash of lemon). The prices are entirely reasonable given the quality, and the wines aren’t expensive.
After trying their wines, don’t forget to stock up - they’re not dear, and very good.
