If you are going to the south of Normandy, you should stop by Le Mont Cerisy. It is about 10 away from Flers de l’Orne.
It’s a hill on top of which there is a castle or its ruins, games and swimming pool for kids, mini golf, tennis courts, tables for pique niques and small boats.
You can also take a walk into the forest. There are plenty of activities inside.
If you walk to the top, the entry is free. But if you drive, you have to pay a small fee (it’s the congestion charge equivalent I guess ;-)).
There is also a small cafe/bar and a camping site open in summer only. Also in summer, are organized an open air movies and concerts.
I highly recommend it!
