This is the only pub that makes me want to move north. Seriously, it’s fab. It’s gorgeous.
I’d suggest taking a map. Though this won’t make a difference if you’re drinking the fabulous gin and tonics becuase you’ll be so durnk that you go the wrong way when you leave anyway. It’s not an easy pub to find. But at least you get to walk cross the Abbey Road. Which you have to walk across in a moronic way pretending to be a Beatle.
Anyway, back to the pub. We it’s very hidden away behind some trees (yes, I know it’s a theme of my favourite pubs). But you could almost walk past it. It blends in so well with all the gorgeous town houses on the street. That also reminds me why I don’t live here. It’s poshville and unfortunately I can’t afford poshville.
Luckily the pub isn’t stuck up, despite David Beckham and Ewan Mcgregor being amongst it’s clientele. Never when I’m there though. How annoying.
There’s a beer garden, they do great smelling food, they let dogs in and the place is decked out beautifully. You’ll have chat with strangers and not want to get out of the very comfy arm chairs.
Oh, and the major bonus points? They serve Hendricks gin AS STANDARD. That’s right my friends.
Is there a hidden gem award for the best Gin and Tonic? There should be.
