Always friendly staff – good choice of food. Specials can be pricey. Worth booking at weekend.
Galicia is a lovely tapas restaurant close to South Croydon. As with most successful Tapas restaurants the atmosphere is buzzing and the place is always busy I had prawns in garlic and a dish with tastiest chorizo I’ve ever tasted. Ice cold San Migeul accompanies anything really well but was espcially welcome with the tapas. I shared amny dishes as I was with a large group of work colleagues and everything was lovely. As an added bonus Galicia is reasonably priced and serves the lovely liquer Strega.

Friendly, family-run, authentic Spanish restaurant serving fresh mediterranean cuisine and a lively ambience. Large dining area can seat intimate couples or big family or office parties. The separate bar area serves ice-cold beers and speciality wines, and you may be in for a bit of a wait here if you didn’t think to ring and book ahead.
The tapas servings are generous and the flavours are gorgeous. A mix of five or six dishes is plenty for two, but you might be tempted by the specials on offer. Garlicky prawns, Patatas Bravas and pinchitos are a must.
