it reminded me of like a snooker hall, not that i occasionally go to snooker halls even though there isn't many oh well apart from riley's.this one in islington, well it was nice and spacious and i have suggested this for my friend birthday!it did look like a community centre more than the expected "elbow room" look that i've seen on the websites.but overall i did enjoy it there, nice vibe, nice people, toilets are ok.the location was abit hidden away and it didn't have that lavish feeling but more of a college hangout!there were bboys when we went so the vibe and music did make up for the experience
It’s a huge venue, and it needs to be as it’s full of American pool tables. It’s a chain place and you can tell by the lack of atmosphere and the not so attentive bar staff. There’s nothing wrong with it per se, but it’s not somewhere I’d pop in for a drink unless I was playing pool.

This place really livened up the area when it opened, I used to go to the sunday dj sessions. Great atmosphere. But then unfortunately, gangsters moved in and now you tend to get shot. Great pool tables. Great dim areas filled with huge chairs and sofas. VIP area people emerge from having trouble walking and sniffing. Got picked up here once by a woman who took me to Booth’s on stokey (classy) where I promptly spilt my pint. She didn’t take me home, although had I asked, anyway…

One of the few places in London with decent sized pool tables. I only ever go there to play as the bar itself is otherwise unremarkable. Great place to go for a couple of hours with friends to shoot some pool.

No I am a bit biased as the only time I have been here, was with my boyfriend on the day I first knew he was the man for me! That aside, its a nice place, with pool tables, and alot of space. It had a nice atmosphere, and is quite quiet in the day time.

this bar is a good chill out place,it is based on one floor and has a seating area where u can sit and relax or chill out and dance to the music. The dj’s play all sorts of music and the vibe is nice. It has a wall of mirrors which you can view yourself in which is fab. Drinks are rather dear but a bottle of wine is reasonable at £8 a bottle.

One thing I have missed in this town is a good pool hall, and the Elbow Room ticks all the boxes.
There are loads of leather booths to huddle into for a good crowd. The pool tables highlighted with their pool soft light in the dimly lit outer edges of the room, for hire by the hour. DJs playing good music and the freedom to dance wherever you are and TV screens pounding out music videos for inspiration.
Grossly American, yet, but so much fun! They do a variety of bar foods to snack on and have a solid collection of bottled beers and spirits, and it’s a pool bar so hit the tequila and chase it with a Bud!

I really like this bar. It’s full of hip, young things, the music is good, the atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night is laid-back and fun and the blokes can entertain themselves having a few games of pool, leaving the ladies to get on with gossiping (sorry to perpetuate the stereotype, but it’s true!).
Despite the fact that the crowd is really hip, it’s not pretentious at all and everyone is there for the same reason - to have a good time.
It does have a reputation for being a bit of a meat market, with suggestions that many people only go to meet members of the opposite sex. I wasn’t on the pull the first time I went there, but seven years ago I met my husband at The Elbow Room and we keep going back every time we’re in that area.
