Novotel München City

Hey, great hotel! I have stayed in many Novotels but this one surprised me positively! Very elegant and functionally equipped rooms, even with 100 Mbit LAN/internet connection, although this is quite expensive in the long run but OK for briefly checking your email. There are WLAN hotspots available in the lobby. Big bathroom, separate toilet in the room, kettle to make a quick cup of coffee, the first drink from the mini bar is free and there is a plate of fruit on the table to welcome you. The necessary bathroom accessories are also available so that it doesn't matter if you forget your toothbrush or your shaver. There is also a separate shower near the bathtub. Very nice personnel, no hectic to be felt anywhere and one feels very well looked after. I can only recommend it to anyone.

I just returned from a seminar in the hotel, I can only emphasize what is written in the other reviews. Very nice hotel, the food is very good, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room was good etc. I would like to highlight: - good location, not far from downtown. Moreover, the metro station is very close, about 300 meters (Rosenheimer Platz) - The Spa area is very good (for a hotel of course), there is a sauna, steam room and a small swimming pool. Conclusion: If I come to Munich again then to this hotel.

The Novotel München City convinces especially with its central and yet quiet location. In only a few minutes walk you're at the Gasteig or the U/S-stationRosenheimer Platz. Also the Nockherberg, Deutsches Museum and the Isar aren't far - just like many tasty hotels (Gast, Drei Groschen Keller etc.). The hotel and particularly the rooms are modern, bright, furnished friendly and if you check the rates beforehand (best online or i.e. at HRS or hotel.de) you can find an inexpensive rate (~ € 80). Only drawback: Unfortunately breakfast isn't included and, in my opinion, at € 19,- overpriced.

All in all a great hotel: close to the city, pretty lobby, kind service, the sauna area maybe a bit to cool (but OK), rooms tidy and well equipped. But: not everything is well throught-through with regards to where things are placed in the rooms; the room's layout isn't optimal. Understandable for a smaller private hotel but quite astonishing of a hotel chain of this size. No Wlan in the room but 2 Macs in the lobby instead.

Sometimes I choose to stay at the Novotel if I get an internet price for less than 100€. I always like to stay there. The modern room design is the best designed and thought about solution which I know (regarding the separate toilets). However I didn't manage to shower without causing a flooding. Breakfast is simply sensational! So far I have not had time to try the gym and/or the pool due to lack of time.
