I agree I love the Queen of Tarts, they have a bigger restaurant down the road now in Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar which is beautiful and keeps the style and spirit of the original little sister. The menu is the same as the first cafe but you can now get a seat with no trouble ! Lovely spot on Saturday when the cafe is really buzzing with trendy Temple Bar Saturday market, go during the week if you don’t like crowds!

I can’t rate this place highly enough I come here when I get the chance, the food is excellent and the mismatching teapots and teacups are adorable. It has a really homely cosy atmosphere in the heart of the city. My only complaint would be the size of the tables and the dining room which are all a bit cramped. As the tables are tiny, once I accidently spilt my hot chocolate all over the table splashing mine and the other tart on the table. The staff were excellent they came over straight away cleared it all up and replaced both tarts and the hot chocolates free of charge. This is my favourite spot in town for a dessert with friends and family. I love the scones, tarts and pastries here. Worth a pop in!

The Queen of Tarts is best known pastry cafe.
The Queen of Tarts serves freshly made pastries. Diners can sample all sorts of savoury delights including chicken, tomato and courgette, spinach, ricotta and mushroom and much more.
They serve the best of fresh and homebaked sweet and savoury foods, my favaurites are the carrot cake, apple and blackberry crumble and a classic for all Victorian Sponge cake.
They serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week.

Queen of Tarts is a small cafe, the cafe itself is quite small, only eight or so tables, but if it’s full when you get there it’s well worth waiting. The counter is absolutely packed with one of the most amazing array of cakes and pastries that you’ll see. They also do snacks and light meals, including what sounds like a great veggie breakfast. I went there and had soup and cakes both times. The desserts are to die for, expecially the apple crumble. Please go there if you are down dublin, you won’t be disappointed.

As soon as you see the array of mouth watering cakes on display you will know you came to the right place. It is a very small premises (although they are moving to a larger one shortly) so waiting for a table is to be expected but I can assure you it is worth the wait. I have often stood in the rain waiting for a table, that’s how much I love the food. The bacon here is the nicest I’ve ever tasted, and their desserts are so good it’s difficult to decide which one to choose.
They serve breakfast later than most places (12noon weekdays, 1pm Saturday and 2pm on Sunday) which is always convienent.

A quaint breakfast and lunch place, I could not stay away from Queen of Tarts while vacationing in Dublin. Nothing on the menu was a disappointment and when I asked about the varieties of fruit in the fruit salad, the waitress looked in the fruit basket to see. Now that’s fresh! Nothing canned or processed here.
