Yet another venue for a tasty lunch at a reasonable price.
We went along on a Sunday for a family lunch & although we’d doubled in number from when the booking was made, we were greeted cheerfully and nothing was a problem.
On offer was the A la Carte menu which I din’t even look at as they also had a set menu on 3 courses for £14.50 which instantly caught my eye. There was a choice of 2 dishes on the board for each course. For starters a salad with Chorizo & soft boiled egg (Huge, a meal in its own right!!!) or Queen scallops cooked in grlic & butter. It was the scallops for me. Fantastic!! Then a choice of simply Roast chicken with veg or Sea Bream with steamed rice. I plumped for the fish. It was a beauty. pudding was Muille fuille or grilled banana in Chocolate sauce. Not a great fan of puds, but it was pleasant enough although may have been bought in. (Not the banana silly!) Washed down with a glass of white & plenty of iced water I didn’t even get to the coffee. They were also happy to look after a Birthday Cake for us & even provided a few candles to make it a bit more special!
Didn’t feel ruhed either despite being the last to leave the lunchtime service.

situated next to ducks on eyre place, this may seem like just another new town eaterie, but on inspection of the ever changing menu you’ll see you’re wrong! time it right and grab a seat outside for the sunset, order a bottle of wine and relax in the knowledge one of the waiting staff will look after you almost as well as your mother!

Pretty newly opened from owner of Pierre Victoire chain that went specatacularly bust years ago. Quite small basic setup, very reasonable wines, starters were not too much to my liking with hard cannelini beans and a few other issues but the mains were excellent, really good value, good portions and so tasty … Good atmosphere and Pierre in the kitchen, I would recommend and go back and I hope this place does well for him.
