An underutilised adult education centre primarily serving those living in the London Borough of Redbridge, although I believe that anyone can enrol on the courses, regardless of where they reside. I was disappointed with the lack of variety of subjects offered at this institution. I also found it frustrating that most courses had a September start date, with few opportunities to begin courses mid-year. Almost all of the feedback that I have received regarding quality of teaching has been negative, with one individual that I know of being offered a refund because the tutor had received such bad student critique.
With all of this said, I have recently spoken to a student who thoroughly enjoyed a particular course, which proves that it is possible for this institution to succeed. Perhaps there should be an audit and a reform of services so that the demands of the community can be met.
