5 reviews of take your marks swimming school in English
After having swimming lessons at the age of 9 years where the first thing the teacher did was to push you in to the pool, I developed a deep fear of the water! I spent countless holidays standing in the water watching my family have all the fun but desperate to join in. Now at the age of 30 something and after 16 lessons I find myself able to do a pretty decent front crawl and breast stroke. This is all thanks to the fantastic teachers at Take Your Marks Swim School. I would highly recommend them for both young and old.
My son hadn't had any swimming lesson until he went to this school's intensive course in Easter 2010. He was already 9 years old. So he was very uncomfortable getting in to the pool in the beginning. He needed a belt with floats for a long time. But now he looks like a natural swimmer, confident to swim in deep end of the pool.
My daughter also improved her swimming skills and she is always looking forward to the lesson.
I can recommend Take Your Mark Swim School to anyone!
This school deserves 5 stars for calibre and effectiveness of teaching. I have watched my daughter's swimming come along steadily, with no fear or anxiety, from confident but lacking much skill, to now, with the sort of graceful stroke we all dream of but most of us never achieve even with years of lessons. Honestly - I had years of lessons and was a lifeguard throughout my youth and her stroke is far smoother than mine!
The only slight down side is that the facilities at Astley Cooper could be better. The water quality is fine, but the changing rooms are grotty. And it would be nice if the pool was larger. Still, it is difficult for independent swim schools to find suitable pools for hire, and the calibre of teaching, small class size, and obvious enjoyment my daughter gets out of her swimming lessons (who'd have thought!) far outweighs this small downside.
My daughter has been at take your marks swim school since it first opened, and I have to say there has been a dramatic improvement. She would hate getting in the swimming pool and cling on to me like a money! I got to the point were I never enjoyed going swimming. But now it's completely different, she confident and has pasted her 50meters badge. She enjoying her swimming and is now top of her swimming class at school.
She loves her swimming classes and feels she missed out if she not able to go. The teachers are lovely and very approachable and will tell you what they are doing in classes and how your child is progressing. Top Marks for Take Your Marks Swim School I highly recommend it.
Fantastic swimming school. They have done wonders with both my kids, my 3 year old can't wait to get into the pool and my 7 year old is progressing superbly
