Aah, memories! I used to live around the corner from Steve’s Cafe and although it lacks the European cafe atmosphere they sure can cook up a good brekkie! A particular favourite of mine are their omelettes.

Steve’s is a proper greasy spoon cafe, it’s top notch stuff. It’s the old fashioned sort where they make the tea in a huge metal pot with about 20 tea bags in, it comes out super-strong and they top it up with hot water until it lightens! There was some talk locally of it closing, it was shut for three days but now it’s open again and seems a permanent fixture which is great news. It overlooks Brockwell Park which is beautiful and the food is exactly what you’d expect, no surprises! Perfect.
