I have always visited this Nandos as not only is it conveniently placed at Star City which has a cinema complex there, so combine movie with a meal, but also it is the only Nandos I know of that is halal meat friendly. The reason why queues can be a 30 -45 minute wait is because of the fact that everyone loves the mexican peri peri chicken meals and other such delicacies. The burgers and salads are great, as are the accompaniments to the almost obligatory peri peri chicken, such as corn on the cob, mexican rice and olives etc. One word to describe Nandos meals, in the words of childrens character Dora the Explorer…. Delicioso! There is a seating area for those who choose to wait in the restaurant, otherwise you can browse through some of the shops at the complex. And the Peri Peri sauces that accompany the meals are also to die for!!! (Can now be purchased at most reputable supermarkets for us to enjoy in our homes).

Nando’s is usually cheap and cheerful but a recent visit proved this to be wrong - well at least in this restaurant.

The customer queue is way bigger than the actual customer capacity within the restaurant and the queue is just simply ridiculous! Why would you want to wait 45mins for a sticky table, miserable staff and overpriced food?

What annoyed me - minus the queue, was the fact the price of a chicken burger had gone up and the size of it had been at least halved! This is crazy, and its not just this branch with the shrinking food - others have all followed suit.

Try to avoid this branch of Nando’s at all costs, visit the city centre ones instead, this is in need of a drastic re-vamp.
