Lovely old Grade II listed building set up as a neighbourhood centre by local people in the 1970s. Still going strong after all these years. The organisation delivers an advice and information service, comments on licensing and planning applications, carries out community development, and has small meetings rooms for hire.

I went to a photographic exhibition here a couple of weeks ago as part of the London Festival of Architecture. They put on their own Festival of People's Architecture with information about the history of the area and the struggle against the developers.
I went on a free guided walk around Fitzrovia with a local author. It was fascinating. Everyone enjoyed it and we all went for a drink at one of the local pubs afterwards.
The Neighbourhood Centre is a real melting pot of people coming together to keep the community feel that Fitzrovia is famous for.
And it's a lovely building too. It's Grade II listed and has a real homely feel about it.
