this is so clearly written by management, it’s hilarious!! And the pictures in the salon of famous celebs?! They’re all from the 80s/90s and I highly doubt that any of them went in there. If they did, they definitely didn’t go back. It strikes me that this spat of excellent five star reviews comes from wanting to get your four star rating back. It’s disgracefully dishonest and I urge people not to go here. I had the worse ever experience and am still angry about it six months later. And saying that dissatisfied customers are “ugly ducklings” who have never had many beauty treatments is so funny! How pathetic that you have to resort to this!

I have been going to Elegance Beauty Clinic for more than a decade and have found that they provide a consistently high standard of service. Their treatmenst are excellent, the staff well trained,charming and polite, the salon is spotless. I cannot understand the few adverse reviews, they bear absolutely no relationship to the Salon to which I am ever loyal. I am extremely discriminating and can find no fault, it offers a totally professional service of first class quality at reasonable prices. Why go anywhere else?

I was first introduced to the elegance beauty salon through an offer they were running on groupon for IPL hair removal; at an attractive price I was delighted to be able to purchase this treatment that would have cost me over £4,000.
From the offset communication was brilliant everything was explained on the phone and I was clear what I would need to do to ensure success of the treatment, an appointment was booked to around my busy working week.
I enjoy beauty treatments and have visited many salons across London ; my experiences vary from brilliant to really awful and a lot somewhere in-between. From the moment I walked into elegance beauty salon I have had a wonderful service, the environment was clean welcoming and ordered, staff were friendly and I was offered refreshments. Most importantly I felt comfortable this is a must for me especially with the areas I was having treated. I was made feel at ease, I was giving time, I was listened to, I was reassured and I was spoken to and treated with respect. It was explained again what was going to happen and throughout the treatment I was asked how it was feeling and asked if I was ok.
I have now finished the initial six treatments and was so pleased with the results and my experience here I booked my next six with them. I have been treated by different members of the team and have always received an excellent service brilliant communication and going out of their way to help accommodate my needs, I live near Greenwich and travel across London to come here because of the first class care I receive, I have recommended the Salon to my friends and family, as I said before I have had many different experiences over the years at elegance beauty I have found it to be exceptional.

Cannot believe the rude and crazy reviews some people have posted! I have been going to this salon since it very first opened, (more than 23 years), and have never had a bad experience. I travel a lot, and the last thing I do before I go away, and the first thing I do when I come back, is go to Elegance Beauty Clinic! On my travels, I have visited many other salons, but none have ever been anywhere near as good as Elegance Beauty Clinic, be it for manicures, pedicures, facials, massage, waxing, whatever! All the staff have been trained to a very high standard, are extremely professional, and I always come away feeling very pampered. All the therapists are friendly, but if you want to chat throughout a massage then you won't find that here. They concentrate on helping you to relax while they smooth away all your tensions; in fact it is quite easy to doze off, the atmosphere is so calming. As for explaining things to you, they can't tell you if you don't ask, they are not mind-readers. i regularly have the Repecharge 4-layer facial, and they certainly explain what they are doing with each layer, in fact I have had this treatment so many times I could tell them what it does! But if I did have a question, an explanation would certainly be given.
My personal opinion is that most if not all of these complaints come from Groupon customers, probably people who have had few, if any, beauty treatments before. Well, you can't turn an ugly duckling into a super swan overnight. I won't mention names, but on the wall of the salon there are rows of photos of clients who have been going to this salon for years. Each photo is of a well-known person, each signed personally. And these are all people who rely on their looks. Says it all, doesn't it?

I purchased 3 microdermabrasion sessions through Groupon.
I turned up on the first appointment with my 5 yr old son(my partner decided to do some shopping during that time). Lady at the Reception(I assume one of the Beauticians) sat us down (she was happy for my lil one to just seat in the waiting area and play on his DS game)and told it want be long before I will be seen. 20min past my scheduled appointment, the person who was supposed to do my treatment turned up and asked me if I want to bring my son to the treatment room-which i didn’t ( the room I was in was very small). The Beautician was nice although her English wasn’t great. Treatment it self was rushed(as she was late for next appointment ), she didn’t even wash the make-up off my face properly! When I got home after the appointment at the salon I realized that my son had left there his Game Console-when I called on Monday morning(salon is closed on Sundays) I’ve been told they didn’t find it. Found this strange as there wasn’t anybody else in as we were leaving, but the salon staff, but decided that I have only myself to blame for forgeting it.
My next appointment(second and THE LAST!) took place past weekend. I turned up at the salon with my son as we were going to meet with a friend after. Was “greeted by” the Owner, who with really hostile face asked me who will look after my child while I am having my treatment? I explained to her that during my last visit I wasn’t informed that I am not allowed to bring him with me otherwise I wouldn’t have done so. She kept going on about the fact that she as the owner is responsible for the place and that she is not prepered to pay a fine in case Westminster Police turn up. I apologised(although now I regret I did!)and asked her what does she suggest we do since he is with me already. She said that “her girls” will look after him for me “on this occasion”, but next time I should leave him home. When the Beautician who done my previous treatment turned up, the Owner confronted her about" alowing me to bring my son to the treatment room(of course she denied everything) and made sure I’d heard every word of the conversation. The whole incident took place in front of another client and made me feel really uncomfortable(to the point I acctualy want it to leave straight away). The customer service represented by the business owner was appalling and makes me wonder how come the salon survived so many years on the market? Or was I treated so badly beacuse I wasn’t paying the full price? Never the less I won’t be going back to that place ever again.
And did i mention that two of my friends also purchased Grupon vouchers with Elegance Beauty Clinc and weren’t happy at all with the service provided in there. -

Today I saw another offer for this salon so I warned the groupon about them.
Awful awful awful staffs and especially the female owner(or manager) is so arrogant.
The service and the quality is the worse ever.
I have use another salond for IPL before them and after them. So I am not judging from only this salon.
Other salons were so professional and friendly (perhaps THAT is normal though..). Especially after I experienced Elegance Beauty clinic I even found the big differences between them and others.
Also they don’t flash much of the light on the area (perhaps a several lights) so that they can pursade 6 sessions will not enough.
Please DO NOT USE THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Additionally, not only the service and the quality, even the groupon stated ‘brazilian IPL" was included they charged extra on the spot claming THEIR brazilian means particular area but not the whole area.
I have done waxing and have been to another salons and I know which area is for brazilian. (THEIR brazilian is for Bikini lines)
SIMPLY RIPP OFF.
I was lucky enough to get some credit (not money) back from groupon for the extra costs the salon charged me (not fully costs) but I just simply dont’ want other people experience the unpleasent time. -

What a great experience. I had my eyelashes permed and I was a bit nervous as it was the first time and I was a worried to be honest, but they were so professional and I felt really at ease. They took their time doing it as my eyelash hair was a bit coarse and it took longer than normal to take the solution, but I never felt they tried to rush the treatment in order to stick to any time schedule. I was so happy with the results and they girls in the salon, they were really great. Have also had facials and manicures with them and again can't fault the service. Well done on making my girlie treats really great....

I have bought six microdermabrasion sessions through Groupon, and from my experience, it really depends on who you are dealing with. Some of the staff are nice, some are not. Moreover, there is one time when they missed my appointment, as a compensation of my wasted effort, traveling time and money, they did offer to give me another complimentary treatment, however, now the owner is saying that it is not valid. So my advice is, if you hear this, dont believe it, or better yet, get a proof on your hand and get their names. At this moment, I still have one last appointment to go, so it is hard to draw a conclusion on whether the whole experience is worth it or not.

I can’t stand it and them and the ower who is absolutely B**l sh*ittying.
I have travelled all the way to the salon and they told me the machine was broken. They could have contacted me, moreover they SHOULD have contacted me.
They also asked me charge me extra because what groupon was offering wasn’t covered for what I was asking for. (Brazilian IPL) Brazilian is Brazilian. Nothing more, nothing less but they said THAT (THEIR) brazilian doens’t cover from here to there. Brazilian is nothing but a little stripl But they still had restriction and they took 15 pounds per session apart from the groupon offer.
I think a lot of people were ripped off like that and the reason why Groupon reported me they didn’t receive any complaint was because they were all forced and convinced by them.

Awful staff – no real problems with the service itself but if your therapist is hostile, rude and will not explain what you are getting for your money then it totally negates the point of beauty therapy! Please see my comments below for further explanation. I am so glad that I got my therapy there through a groupon voucher – if I’d paid more for it, I would have been so upset.

I’m amazed to read these spiteful and inaccurate comments. I’ve been going to Elegance Beauty Clinic practically since it opened and have always been treated expertly and with warmth and friendliness: they even remember birthdays!. Staff and clients return for years after babies and contracts abroad. And now my daughters are also very satisfied clients. I find it difficult to understand why and who made these negative comments.
The salon is immaculately clean;the equipment is up to date and the staff are periodically trained at the business’s expense.What more could you ask for?

I think that GerryOh is probably management/ related to management to be honest – it’s a little odd that the reviews for this place are either 1/5 (the lowest possible) or 5/5 (the highest possible). And apart from London Rat, the only positive posts are by people who’ve only posted once…perhaps because they’ve set up a profile to try and improve the rating a little?!
LonSing, your comments weren’t spiteful at all – they were honest, and if Elegance Beauty Clinic had any commercial acumen they would be offering you a complimentary treatment to make up for your disappointment and to try and persuade you to return there in the future. Sadly, my experience of the salon staff means that I am not surprised at these accusatory comments – I asked what price my IPL came at and was told a variety of prices – when I asked if they could provide me with a price list I was told that the staff ‘all know what everything costs and so we don’t have a price list’. But I was quoted different prices for everything! Also, I was told that my a ‘bikini’ IPL was only the top of the triangle and did not include ANY hair around the crease/top of the legs – apparently that’s a brazilian – not my understanding of a brazilian! I was accused of ‘arguing’ with the staff and they then tried to get me to sign something saying that I would pay the full price of the treatment if I cancelled an appointment within 48 hours. I booked the treatment on a Groupon voucher and was not going to pay the £200 that they claimed each session cost if I missed an appointment. Perfectly happy to have them strike off one of my six Groupon sessions but why would I pay £200 when the voucher only cost £140?! A real shame, because I love beauty therapy and am very loyal to salons once I find good ones. I will not be returning (even to fulfill the rest of my voucher – I really had that bad an experience that it’s worth losing the money and going elsewhere just to not go back and be treated like that) and will be telling my friends not to use it either. I will also be letting Groupon know that they are affiliated with such a dreadful salon. -

Dirty and rude! I bought a groupon voucher to have IPL hair removal here. The salon is tired looking, cramped and dirty. I didn’t want to lay on the bed!! Every staff member I have had to deal with has been rude, except for the manager, who was relatively nice. After having lost my calendar, I missed an appointment (which I had paid for in advance via groupon). Someone phoned me up after missing the appointment and had the gall to tell me that I owed them money!!!? How is that possible? I’m not going to bother going back to get any more treatments but I am going to tell as many people as possible about what they are trying to do. Something isn’t quite right here- AVOID this salon”

PLEASE do NOT go to this salon. The manager in particular is extremely rude and no one seems to know what they are doing. My treatment was rushed and they explained nothing to me. It was vastly inferior to what I have experienced in other salons, and I left extremely dissatified.
I am actually shocked they have any clients at all.

I've been having my nails done at Elegance Beauty Clinic for many years and have NEVER had a bad experience. On the contrary, when I had to use another salon in a different city whilst travelling, my nails were torn to shreds and I was so relieved to get back to EBC where they gave me treatment and repaired the damage.
It is a small, intimate salon where the staff are very much a family and really care for their clients. It is tucked away in Whiteleys and therefore passing trade is less likely, however the salon is always busy - why? because clients return again and again and recommend the place to their friends.
Now I live abroad and when returning to London the first thing I do is make an appointment at EBC.

All I will say to your nasty comment is that I meant everything I said in my review, I have taken friends and family there and they have been very happy with the service they had. The number of famous women who get their nails done there on a regular basis is testimony to the professionalism and friendliness and discretion they experience.

Great experience!!! I just finished a microdermabrasion course that i purchased on Groupon... Guess what i just just purchased another course...!!! i have had microdermabrasion before but their machine is second to none....and the therapists absolutely fantastic!!! Well done team. I've had manicures and pedicures at this salon and cannot fault them! Its a small salon tucked into an out of the way space in Whiteleys and doesn't look like anything special but I've had the longest lasting manis/pedis here! The use Essie varnishes - so lots of lovely colours to choose from and the prices are very reasonable.
Will always return!

I wasn't very happy. When I got there (was my first visit) I was asked if I wanted anything to drink, but then my coffee never arrived.
I had a voucher for 6 sessions of microdermoabrasion, but the treatment was quick and not very accurate, plus the therapist didn't offer to cover up the redness and had to go out although my face was quite red. When I finished, the beautician said she was going to wait for me at reception, but when I got there she kept talking to someone else, didn't book me in for second appointment and didn't reply when I said goodbye!!
Few days later I called to book a second appointment but the lady told me the next appointment was going to be after a month.
I wasn't happy because for what I know microdermoabrasion is not effective if you do it just once a month because of the way the skin regenerates.
All in all, yes, the deal was cheap but I don't think it was worth it.

I have done waxing and have been to another salons and I know which area is for brazilian. (THEIR brazilian is for Bikini lines)
SIMPLY RIPP OFF.
I was lucky enough to get some credit (not money) back from groupon for the extra costs the salon charged me (not fully costs) but I just simply dont’ want other people experience the unpleasent time.

Unbelievable experience, spend an hour and half in a state of tranquility and relaxation. Best facial i've ever had. Would recommend it to anyone
