Pink Butterfly Brides

My sister bought her wedding dress from this shop last year and i went with her to the apointment, where she was guided by a lovely sales lady who knew exactly what she was talking about and picked a stunning dress for my sis who didnt really know what she wanted. The design was perfect and completely individuall from anything we had seen in all of the other bridal shops and we had been to Cardiff Swansea and Bridgend. For such a stunning dress we couldnt beleive the price, we thought that it would  be twice as much. We came back again to get bridesmaids dresses this year for me and 2 others, who are both plus size and the 2 sales ladies were absolutly brilliant. They treated us like good friends but they also recomended perfect dresses to flatter all of us even though we range from an 10 to a 20 and they made it a girly fun experience. When we picked her dress and ours up they were just as we thought, amazing quality and perfect fit because of the fact that their made to measure. I cant wait to come bck for when i get married!

Mrs Jones! LOVED IT! The experience of having my dress made exactly how I wanted it - was amazing.  The price is exceptionally good for such a high level of service.
I had my wedding dress made from a drawing I had done myself, Sam and her staff were able to control my bridesmaids (and get them to agree - all 4 of them!) - plus had a fab outfit for my Mother too.
I throughly recomend making an appointment!

i cant rate this shop highly enough. i was recommended by a friend and went there thinking it would be a small shop with only a couple of dresses. i went just to keep her happy to be honest. as it happened i found exactly what i wanted due to their outstanding ability to make the dresses according to your own ideas. its really good to see that there are proper designers outside of london. my wedding has now been and gone and i kind of miss seeing the little shop and the girls that work there. but basically if you are stuck for where to go, or unsure, then do not hesitate give them a try.

I went to Pink Butterfly Brides all the way back in March with my mum & Grandma for my first day at wedding dress shopping! I was rather clueless as to what suited me, every dress I chose to try on, didn't give that "wow" factor until I came here. Right from the start Samantha made us feel so welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Samantha picked out a dress for me that I would never have chosen, it was something I'd never even considered!  However, after putting it on & seeing their reactions, and then myself in the mirror, I knew it was "the one". I found the dress of my dreams, all thanks to Sam's amazing knowledge & patience! Can't wait to go back for my final fitting & for my partner to see it on the day. I recommend Pink Butterfly Brides  to any girls still looking for their dream dress!!

I bought my wedding dress from these guys, and absolutely loved it. It's extremely classy in style, and they even made a few adjustments at my request. Nothing too fancy, I just wanted a few extra frills here and there. I found it hard to find the exact wedding dress I wanted, until I visited Samm. I filled out the form on the ‘contact us’ page of their website last week, left my email address, mobile phone number, a few narrative lines of why i was contacting them and NOTHING!!

No one has even bothered to get back in touch with me!! Why dont they want my money? Am i not good enough??? If they were too busy to take on extra work, then fine, but they could email me and tell me that.

It costs nothing to be courteous.

I couldnt rate Pink Butteflys high enough. I had visited other bridal shops but never quite felt comfortable enough to try on any of the dresses and found the staff to be quite prissy! Sam on the other hand was so friendly and helpful that I couldnt wait to get in the dresses.
There was no pressure to choose a more expensive dress or extras and no limit to the number of dresses I could try on. I left the shop after my first visit having purchased my dream dress!
At my final fitting I felt like a princess and remember everyone in the shop looking at me and even having tears in their eyes. I truly felt like a princess and it wasnt even my wedding day yet.
I opted for having one of the staff out to fit my dress on the day of my wedding and would highly recommend this to everyone. It took so much of the stress out of the day (who really knows how to do a corset up properly?) and they even helped my younger bridesmaids even though I didnt purchase their dresses from them…….needless to say I would have if I had gone there first!
All in all the Butterflys are AMAZING!!! Every bride to be NEEDS and MUST visit Sam and the team, they truly are the best.

it was my 50th wedding anniversary,i decided that i wanted a wedding dress, because i did not have one for my original wedding.a friend advised me to go to pink butterfly brides, i went in reluctantly ,was greeted by samm and put at ease straight away as i am an older woman, tried many dresses on, where she advised on style and colour,on taking her advice,i choose my dress which was made to measure which came back perfect. on the day felt really special.thanks to samm. i would advise any bride any age any size to go to pink butterfly brides.

Five Stars Is Not Enough!

I can not rate this store and the lovely people who work/own in it highly enough. I am a disabled plus size bride and discovered this shop after visiting several other’s in all the other shops I left in tears. I am not a majorly girlie girl but I do love my bling. I spent the afternoon with the lovely Andrea and tried on easily 10 dresses till I found the one I love. Samantha, Andrea and Jenny (aka yummy mummy) made me feel beautiful. They helped me find ways to cover up the parts of my body I am not happy with. They were also completely tolerant of my bridezilla tendancies and with dealing with the many fittings i wanted (although not needed) to show my family members who live in England. When we went to pick my maid of honours dress she brought my 2 year god son with her, he was (and still is) going through the terrible two’s want to touch everything and try on all the shoe’s. They all handled this so calmly.

I really don’t know what else I can say, I can rate this family run, super friendly business highly enough. I am just wandering if I can convince my hubby to marry me every year so I can have a new dress and an excuse to visit them all the time!

All brides in South Wales MUST visit this shop! They have by far the most diverse range of styles of dresses than any other bridal shop I visited (the shops in Swansea basically all had a variation on one style). I was finding the wedding dress shopping experience quite stressful and not enjoyable but when I went to Pink Butterfly but their approach was completely different…they’re all really lovely, not at all pushy like in many other shops, and give you space but also give helpful advice where needed. All dresses are designed by their in house designer, so you can even design your own or request certain details, and as the dresses are made in this country, you don’t have to worry that the dress of your dreams is being made in a sweatshop in China! Perfect for the eco-minded bride! The dresses are very reasonably priced and you can feel happy that your money is going into a local economy and not racking up airmiles. When I went back to have my measurements done, I noticed that they’re really discreet and sensitive to their customers, so if you’re a little self-conscious they will put you at ease. All in all, a fab shop.

I had met the woman of my dreams and she asked me to marry her i was over the moon. But i had one worry as i am a large lady i didnt know where i could get a dress that would fit me. A good friend took me to butterfly and i was so nervous but sam was amazing she found me the perfect dress and she really made me feel like my size wasnt an issue. I had the day i dreamed of and every one said my dress was amazing. I felt like a princess (which i have never felt before in my life)

I could not have asked for a better place to buy my wedding attire, Sam turns any girl of shape, size, nature into a princess, she helped me realize this. My bridesmaids looked fantastic and I felt fantastic, after 6 or more long months of changing my idea on the colour scheme I wanted, Sam was very patient and it’s a whole different adventure just by going into her shop, to choose your dream dress!! I do not think you could get this experience, in any other bridal boutique! Fabulous! Thank you!

Personal and discreet is how I would describe Pink Butterfly Brides. I was very nervous when I first went to try on a dress, but Samm and Andrea made me feel like a princess. I went home to my husband-to-be so excited announcing that I believed I had found my dress.

I returned with an entourage of family for some proper try-ons and Samm immediately offered to bring the dresses downstairs when she saw that both my mother and sister walked with sticks.

From start to finish the service was professional, friendly and courteous. Discreetly advising me on lingerie, and checking that I had everything I needed for the big day when I collected my dress… Just as well as I had forgotten my garter, which Samm was able to provide.

Go team Pink Butterfly!

I am not a “girly” girl. I work in a garage and I am ex military. I was getting married to the guy I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and I had chosen to have a low key wedding. I did not want to look like a confection, I was not prepared to wear something designed for someone at least a decade younger than me and I had been living with the guy for 3 years, there was no point in wearing white, the cat was out of the bag there! Samm was incredibly insightful and it was not the scary place I had experienced in other wedding shops. Her designs suited my figure, my sense of style (which can be quite off the wall at times) and my budget. I did not feel pressured or subjected to an “up sell”. I felt confident enough to speak to Samm candidly about what underwear to wear, what to expect on the day and ended up being reasurred about my biggest fears of the day which I was starting to dread. Samm is personally responsible for my metamorphis from someone who wanted to be married into an actual bride who felt a million dollars. I am quite saddened by the vindictive nature of this first review, a cheap and shallow person lashes out in this way and Samm has reacted with the dignity and grace that woman will never have. Meet Samm for yourself and make up your own mind, it’s your special day. You can see my picture on her website (home page). I am not a model, I spend most days covered in engine oil, but that day I was the Hollywood Bride, I will remember it for the rest of my life.

I had found the most perfect dress there and had a very helpful and friendly person on my first visit and was really looking forward to going to collect my dress. Unfortunately I did not receive the same friendly treatment on my return. My dress did not have an accessory I know was on it and they did not take my word for it when I said so, I was actually told off as my sister had taken a photograph in the previous fitting even though I had purchased my dress and I the initial sales lady hadn’t said anything about it. I was also made to feel as though she was doing me a favor having someone coming to put my dress on on the day, even though I was paying them for the privileged!! Above all that, my poor little niece had an unfortunate but awful accident in her nappy, and needed to be changed desperately. My sister did this on her own mat on the floor of their loo then only to be coldly and unnecessarily told off for doing this, we appreciated they did not have the facilities for this, but there was no other choice. I had a very negative feeling coming away from the shop on what should have been a very exciting and happy day :( It seemed that after kindness wasn’t their forte once I had paid the money for my dress!

Amazing, I found the perfect dress, after traipsing around all the other bridal shops, which have basically the same designers and same dresses. It was refreshing to find different dresses which I could customise to suit me,this included any colour, extra crystals (love my bling) and of course made to measure (I'm top heavy so this helped) so no extra charges for alterations yey! The prices are amazing, I didn't see any dresses over a £1000. Very friendly and helpful staff.
All in all definitely worth a visit.
