I paid approx £2000 to do training course here last year as I wanted to become a dog groomer. The training was appauling !!!! The tutor spent more time arguing with his partner than teaching, and there were too many students so we had to take turns in grooming. I left after 3 weeks as couldn’t stand it anymore and went to another grooming school to complete a 1 week intensive course at a cost of a further £2000. I learnt more in a week with them than I did at Scruffy Pups in 3 weeks. I never got any money back from them, nor did they try to contact me to see why I had left. They are a huge waste of money. I also think it is very unethical to practice on customers dogs without their knowledge or permission as we did.

I have also been visiting the shop for the last couple of years, I was put off by other groomers not getting my Westies correct and I was recommended Scruffy Pups.
Everytime I have taken my dogs they have come out looking exactly how I wanted them and the staff have been fantastic and very friendly.
I cannot believe that someone would post so negative about Scruffy Pups, they are great and caring people who do a TOP JOB!!

I have been aking my dogs to Scruffy Pups since they opened 5 years ago. In that time I have never had a problem with the staff or the way they have treated my dogs. In fact they are very helpful caring people. My dogs always look fantastic when they have been there. I find the staff friendly, helpful and caring. A few of my friends also use Scruffy pups and all of them are happy with the services they provide. This is an excellent establishment with a good reputation that is well deserved.

My dog has been groomed at Scruffy pups a few times and they seemed ok. However, on the last occasion I took him he came out with several cuts on him. When I asked the staff about this, the groomer was very rude and said it was his own fault as he wouldn’t keep still !! He has never had a problem been groomed before.
I later discovered that this place has grooming students who practice on your dogs !!! No where in the shop does it say that students will be clipping your dogs, nor was I asked permission. I will never take my dog back there again and would not advise anyone else too either. Surely, they must ask permission for your dog to be practised on ?!?

Scruffy pups have been grooming my dog for the pas 2 years now and i wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are very friendly and very reliable. The prices are very good for the quality of service my dog receives. Not MY favourite place but definitely my dogs!!

Definitely the best dog groomers in town. The owners are nice, friendly people, who have never done a bad job on our dog. My dog really enjoys going. They’re very reasonably priced too.
