The best restaurant i have ever been to i carnt praise this place enough, the staff are fantastic they even rocked the pushchair to get my baby to sleep while we were eating. There is loads of food choice even my fussy kids eat the food there. The food is always hot and tastes fresh.
Your plate is whipped away as soon as you are finished which i like, i was impressed by the fact they had litle booster seats for young children who have out grown a high chair but carnt quite reach a big table yet.

Nice restuarant if you fancy an all you can eat buffet. The staff are friendly and service is really quick. There is a large selection of food on offer including starters, mains and not forgetting desserts… although the food is self-service they will serve your drinks to your table. Its best to pre-book a table as it gets so busy in there, there is a bar you can wait at but its small and easily packed

Brillant service. The dirty plates are quickly removed and food is regually topped up so you dont have to wait when you go back up. Very good choice of various foods although you do find more of a choice on the evenings. Excellant buffet though would highly recommand everyone going.

I have used many chinese buffet restaurants, and this is by FAR the best. The selection is immense, service fantastic without being too pricey. There is one restaurant in Northfield and another in Basingstoke that comes close, but Modern China is a real winner and a good indicator is the place seems always to be full.

I’m not a huge fan of buffets but this one stands far apart from the rest with its clean setting, variety of food and excellent prices under a tenner for lunch times.
The wide range of food on offer here is quite exceptional, with a huge choice for vegetarians aswell. All the food is delicious and freshly cooked, and never seems to run out. Food includes the usual sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, chow mein etc but also less well known, but never the less delicious dishes such as lemon chicken, honey chilli chicken and prawn cakes.
Another aspect that makes Modern China stand out is the desert section of the restaurant, now this is where you expect to be let down in most Chinese buffets, but no, here the desert section more than rivals the food section. The choices are great, with chocolate, gatues, parfait, jelly, fresh fruit, mini cakes - the choices are endless.
The staff are friendly and effecient, so overall a very good dining experience not to be missed!
