Among many of the restaurants along Southall Broadway, one of Southall’s best-known restaurants is Rita’s Samosa House.
You place your order at the counter and then proceed to choose a table. This is a very bust restaurant at all times and so you will probably be surrounded by people, it is very popular for families who often fill up sections of the restaurants easily.
Putting the name to one side for a minute, Rita’s is known for much more than just samosas though, the flaky, triangular snack or starter usually filled with minced meat or vegetables. Its Aloo Tikki Chaat starter (£2), a sweet and spicy dish made with chickpeas, onions, potatoes, spices and yogurt is also a favourite. Most dishes at Rita’s are priced from £4.25 to £5.75, and the samosas go for 40p each.
Don’t be surprised to see utensils go untouched here - as much of the food is finger food, so make sure your hands are clean!
This is a great restaurant, and easily located although parking can be crazy around Southall, so be warned.
