I have never really been much of a sushi and sashimi fan until I came to Tenkaichi and started slow with a sample box with a verity of different dishes, and to my surprise I actually found raw fish tasty! It’s a brilliant experience realising sushi isn’t all that bad but for those of you who still aren’t sure on the whole raw fish thing Tenkaichi offers a selection of noodles, chicken and salads! Unfortunately this restaurant isn’t very intermit, instead of individual discreet tables there are 3 long tables so get ready to make new friends and discuss what’s the “in” sushi dish to be eating this week!

One of only two Japanese restaurants in the area, Tenkaichi is a wonderful place to go for a meal, the prices are decent, the service is good and fast and everyone I know who has ever been there has reccommended it.

There is a wide selection of sushi to choose from, including many vegetarian options for those of you who don’t like fish. The rest of the menu includes many Japanese dishes which you may or may not have heard of, but they are all delicious! Especially reccommended is the grilled eel in sauce, falls apart in your mouth and tastes glorious. The bowls of ramen alone can provide a whole meal in themselves, served in huge bowls with a wide range of combinations to choose from. All the food is freshly cooked on the premises, with prices ranging from £2-£3 for a plate of sushi, and around £6.50 for a bowl of ramen, all the other dishes are between those prices.
