Great evening at the tavern. Just to endorse the comments made regarding Neil Diamond we are also going to see the Motown gig with sunday lunch. Thanks to both Stephan/ Sonia for turning the Tavern into a GREAT Place to spend a relaxing time. Barrie/Angie

Today we had the Sunday Roast, one chicken and one lamb, possibly the best Sunday lunch we have had in Pevensey Bay, shame we could not stay longer.

My husband and I spent a few days in Pevensey, we found The Beach Tavern to be very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant the food was very good and reasonably priced, will definately return when we are next in the area.

My husband and I were staying in the Bay for a short Easter break with my sister and partner and, although we did not eat here, we found the atmosphere extremely friendly and vibrant. Stefan and his team put a lot of effort into making you feel very welcome and a lot of work has gone into making sure there is always something going on to attract a wide range of customers. The entertainment whilst we were there ensured we had a brilliant time. We would certainly recommend The Beach Tavern and look forward to our next visit.

I have eaten at The Beach Tavern several times and would Highly reccomed the food. The resterant is clean and the Staff friendly. The menu has plenty of choice and very good value for money. Since living in the area (4 years) we have not found one pub where we would return and we have tried quite a few, that is until today. We made a last minute decision to try Sonia’s restaurant here and had a truly excellent lunch. From the first welcome through discussing our options, making our selections from a varied menu that would suit all tastes, every aspect was excellent. The food was very good, well presented with friendly service. It is so nice to eat in an establishment with clean white linen tablecloths and napkins, comfortable chairs and not crowded on top of each other. We would highly recommend them.

We did not have a reservation and were made welcome as soon as we came through the door. A table for two was found for us and it was nice to see spotless white table linen and napkins (much nicer than the usual paper napkins). Our order for drinks & food was taken delivered to the table very quickly. The staff were cheerful and showed genuine interest in their customers. Our Sunday lunch was provided at a reasonable price. A bonus was that, being winter, parking in the nearby large carpark was free of charge……….we shall return!

We went as a group of 5 and took a 13 month old baby on the 11/1/12.
It was my first visit and it was Brilliant. The food was excellent and a great price, then menu was well thought out with variety and aa specials board.
However the most impressive thing was the staff ! Brilliant because they made us feel so welcome almost like friends, genuine, good humoured and relaxed without being overbearing and subservient.
I thoroughly recommend The Beach Tavern for a meal and if you have a baby. They have genuinely thought about the customer i suggest you give it a try

Even though we live 3 miles away, we now regard this excellent pub as our local. Absolutely everything is great about it and the food in the adjacent Sonias restaurant is excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Varied programme of entertainment, so there is always something going on. The landlord Stephan goes out of his way to make visitors feel welcome and makes a very refreshing change from the sterile manger type pubs that are everywhere now. Well done to Stephan and his wife for creating such a special atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Visited the pub on 7th October as recommendation of a relative who lives nearby. Very friendly staff on arrival, shown to table almost immediately. Food was served very quickly and excellently cooked and well presented on the plate. Desserts are to die for. Price very reasonable. Would most defintely visit again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Had a great evening last night – Elton John Tribute. Really good entertainment, nice atmosphere, great staff and landlord really makes everyone feel welcome. Will be back for the Howlin Blues Band tonight and for Sunday lunch in the next few weeks. Thanks.

We called in for lunch and was made to feel very welcome, even though we had a young puppy with us, we were accommodated and well looked after, excellent meal, good value and warm, friendly staff. We would certainly be going again when next in Pevensey – Andy, Jan and Charlie Chocolate lab from Croydon.
