The English gargens are wonderful. I love the cottage-type gardens where everything seems to grow quite freely. I like roses in all colours! We only have a little yard and some bushes by the side of the house in Machynlleth - but I often add more nice pots to it. Now my lavender is coming out. I like family-run businesses such as you describe here - Squire’s Garden Centres.

This is very pleasant Garden Centre with an extensive range of products for not extortionate prices. As well as plants and the obvious things, they have cards, gifts, and even a cafe, which serves surprsingly nice coffee in a nice, airy room.

A very different style of garden centre-- quite classyfeel to it- not your usual B&Q style. Varied things apart from leafy things sold. Lots of good ideas for presents- good quality products and well displayed… nice place to browse. They do jars of preserves and yummy stuff- all nicely packaged. Nice cafe with lovely cookies- Hot and cold food vailable.Clean and functional. Ample parking spaces and free. Helpful staff.

Amazingly still a family-run business, Squire’s is a pleasure to visit - especially on a beautiful sun-bathed English summer’s day. There’s plenty to browse here with temptations around every corner and in each nook and cranny, from basics and practical items for the house and garden to awe-inspiring plants, herbs, trees and pots to contain them.
Something gorgeous can be spotted here wherever you look, so you’ll need to exercise restraint if you don’t want to leave laden and spent-out… Prices are reasonable though; staff are pleasant and very helpful if you have any queries on plant problems (such as nasty pest or bug infiltration) or deciding what will work best for you and your garden. The setting is lovely too, perfect for dreaming and idling away a beautiful British sunny day…

Modern garden centre , not so easy to find. Particularly big range of plants, helful staff. All the usual garden centre things, conservatories, furniture, tools. Very nice cafe, popular with the locals.
