Gets busy at weekends but the atmosphere is super relaxed and friendly and the live music is not as in your face as other pubs.
Get in early and nab a couch!

Amazing food, great atmosphere and great staff. The music is excellent and there are some great bands play. It is attached to the Buff club where you can go for some funk and soul dancing towards the end of the night. The good thing is that the butterfly and pig is open till 3 am so you can easily pop back down from the club if its a bit too busy.
The food is unbelievable, my favourite is the dunlop cheese filled burger nd home made chips. All freshly cooked and the restaurant is very cool.
MUST GO!!!

A briliant place to while away the hours on comfy couches with good good and not too pricey alcohol . Best during the day before the students crowd it out !

great food - always worth going for one of the specials, and top desserts. friendly service even when they're rushed off their feet.
Upstairs in the PigTearooms is well worth a visit to for a cheeky afternoon tea.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, and hands down fantastic character. Very homely. Grannies got competition.

V cool pub and food worth going for the daftly written menu even if you don't eat. Some quality music and a quiet(er) room. Nice and close to centre town

This is a really decent pub, good option if you're in the bath street area and fancy drinks before a club. Can get busy at weekends but chilled out mid-week.

i have very fond memories of eating a christmas dinner here with some classmates before heading back to ireland over the festive period…
great food, great service, all wrapped up in a quirky bundle of charity shop furniture and crockery. absolutely joyous.
it’s a stonking boozer as well. always has a great atmosphere, and more often than not, there’s some great live music.
not just good for a swift half…you could easily lose days in this pub.

My boyfriend and I went for a quick dinner there on Friday before going to the theatre. The bar was absolutely packed with afterwork folk but the restaurant was quiet and relaxed. We only had time for one course but the food was great. My other half had the veally good stew and I had the haddock. Both were delicious. The staff were friendly and the food came quickly which was good. I like the fact that all the plates and tables are mismatched. It makes it far more interesting. Will definitely be going back there for a more relaxed and bigger meal.

This is one of my favourite places to visit in Glasgow. Everything in the mix 'n’ match design, from the comfy armchairs to the odd plates and tankards are a pleasant change from the many 'standard issue’ bars you see today.
Although the drinks list is not extensive, the main reason for visiting this place is the food.
Reading the menu is an experience in itself, and choosing between “battered to death haddock” and “cilla black is back black pudding” put a smile on my face.
In terms of quality, the Butterfly and Pig excel. My personal favourites are the burgers. Starting at £6.40 a pop, they are well worth a try, as is the rest of the menu!
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful which only adds to the laid back atmosphere.
Do yourself a favour, instead of opting for one of the countless pubs which offer you cooked from frozen meals, put in a few extra quid and go visit this gem!

Great surroundings, friendly atmosphere and good food and wine make this a place that I often reccomend. Staff are always friendly and great news is that once youve ate and drank and feel like a dance you can just head upstairs to the buff club.

A sweet little place with interesting furnishing and a individual style. The food is tasty and filling and is a good place to hang out and have a chat.

Quirky…that’s the first thing that springs to mind when I recommend this place to anyone. from he mismatched plates and cutlery to the bizarre menu descriptions and the wide range of food choices, it’s a joy to visit this place. It also seems that the proprietors operate it as a hobby and a place for their freinds to come and relax when they visit as opposed to a business which is great to see in this day and age. The food is fantastic, great portion sizes and they are happy to cook off menu for you, I highly rate the puddings though…superb. In fact typing this reminds me that I’ve not been for a while….
