First of all the therapist did not do any preparation before e.g. warming up the muscles - she went straight in with the oil. In addition, the pressure she used was similar to stroking a baby to sleep. It was way lighter pressure than an aromatherapy massage. I asked her to use more pressure , and she did for like 5 seconds. then after this - back to the baby stroking pressure.
Now I sympathise with anyone who is suffering has the cold or flu. I think that if you are in a profession involving close contact with the public- maybe don't go to work until you are better. My therapist sniffled her way through the entire massage. I had to hold my breath when she particularly got closer to me. and felt in such a hot room I was sure to contract her illness.
I will definitely not be returning here. The reception was friendly but for 75 pounds you expect a certain standard and quality of massage. I think my 5 year old daughter could do a better job. Awful Awful Awful.

I went for a NY pedicure & manicure in Kings Road. Beautician was really rude, did not even bother to offer a glass of water and it was really one of those hot days in London. Once I finished the manicure she did not even help me in putting the shoes on and the nail polish got damaged. But that’s the least: during the pedi she hurt me big time while removing cuticles. After 2 days one of my toes started to hurt so much that every single step I took was painful, I could not even sleep at night. So I went to another beautician that checked my toe and she told me it got infected and that they basically made a hole in my toe while removing cuticles! She cleaned everything up now and I hope it will get better soon. This is the first time that someone makes such a bad job. This is butcher’s job, not a spa one. I will never step foot there anymore!

I booked 3 treatments for my boyfriends Mother, his sister and myself in August 2011 via a Groupon deal. It has been a farce since then. The earliest I could have us all booked in was 08/03/2012. Even then we would have to be seen hours apart. I did not deal with the spa directly but was required to call an 0845 number to speak to anyone in relation to the booking. Finally on the day of the treatments I was contacted to say that ALL 3 appointments had been cancelled due to 1 staff member being off sick. There was no effort to accomodate any of the appointments on that day and I was told the earliest I could expect to be rebooked was sometime in April. It was quite obvious that they were cancelling the customers who had been booked via Groupon. This level of service is shocking and very disappointing in an industry which aims to promote relaxation and well being. I would not advise anyone to book treatments here if the outcome you are seeking is feel taken care of and spoiled. Shame on them.

I visited this spa on a Groupon deal for a facial / back & neck and scalp massage. (75 mins total). I feel it was a total waste of money!
1. It was really difficult to get an appointment – even though I was able to visit during the middle of the day. They seemed reluctant to accommodate me because I had bought a voucher and wasn’t a ‘normal’ customer.
2. When I did visit I did not get a warm welcome (it seemed as though they were resentful, still, that I was ‘just’ a Groupon customer).
3. The therapist did a reasonable back massage, but for the scalp massage, she only touched the back of my head (where she could reach while I was lying face down) – she did not complete the scalp massage when I turned over.
4. The WORST part was the facial. She was so careless that she left face scrub on my face and in my eyebrows, even when she was finishing with moisturiser I could still feel the scratchy scrub. I had to have a good rinse when I got home.
5. The whole treatment was supposed to be 1h 15mins but I was in and out of there in 50mins (including being kept waiting at the beginning). The receptionist did not bother to raise her head to say goodbye as I left.
A TOTAL disappointment and RUDE. Avoid.

I'm not one who regular treats myself to pampering, but when I spotted a Groupon deal at The Chelsea Day Spa I decided to give it a whirl.
I had a 30minute back massage, followed by a facial and - rather randomly - an eyebrow wax, and I was extremely impressed with all three treatments.
Having never had a massage before I didn't know what to expect, but the therapist quickly identified my achey zones and I felt extremely relaxed and twinge-free afterwards. I've got quite sensitive skin, but the facial was soothing and lovely.
I was a bit wary about the eyebrow wax aspect of the deal, since I didn't think I had that much eyebrow to wax, but she did a great job, and I'd definitely get them waxed again.
All in all the most relaxing hour I've had in a long time, and I have been well and truly converted to the benefits of indulging in such frivolities every once in a while.

I'd booked one of those deals for a 30min aromatherapy massage, 30min facial and a 30 min manicure or pedicure, and persuaded three of my friends to partake in the experience too.
Well, the booking process left a lot to be desired, as they couldn't confirm whether they could accommodate the four of us in one afternoon over the phone. That would've been fine, had they bothered to call us back to let us know whether the dates we had enquired about were available. Finally managing to get some word on when we could go along for the treatments, after several frustrating calls a number of days later.
The treatments themselves were fine. The aromatherapy massage, although only 30 mins long was one of the most relaxing I had experienced. The facial too left my skin hydrated and looking radiant, whilst the manicure I opted for was undertaken with the utmost care by the therapist.
Overall a very good experience on the day.

I popped in to give their manicure a try. The location is slightly tucked away from the main road and there's a fair few stairs to climb, but once inside the ambiance was lovely, with bright and inviting décor and relaxing music. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
My therapist spent a great deal of time on my manicure, and I was especially impressed with her cuticle work. I opted for a natural nail colour but I was offered a variety of shades to choose from. I felt like the staff really took their time to give me a good treatment and an enjoyable experience. I'd definitely consider coming back for other treatments in future.
