5 reviews of Embassy London in English
Disappointing not what it used to be, unless you want to reminded of your over 28 age then avoid unless you dont mind knocking around with children vomitting everywhere!
I went to the Embassy for the first time last night. It was deserted...Definitely not a good idea on Thursdays. It does look good though, rather fancy and the kind of place you'd try out on a Saturday to see what it's really like if you wanted to party with friends. Although I doubt you can get in if you don't know someone there. Well, it seems like that anyway.
I was really really surprised with the food though. It was DE-LI-CI-OUS!! not the kind of food you'd expect in such a place frankly. Probably not my kind of crowd and will not become my favourite place in London for sure but I know curiosity & the food will bring me back. Definitely, the food: £15 for a delicious sea bass, yes pricey but really, did I mention it was delicious?
I eat in this venue alot with my wife and we both love it. Yes, it does cost a bit more than other resturants but i think its definatly worth it as the food is beautiful. I would definatly recommend the Embassy to any one. Ive already recommended this place to roughly 25 friends and family. Michael Taylor
I have to agree on this one. It takes incredibly long to get in even when you reserved a table. I have not seen any stars, most people were in their late 20ies and early 30ies.
Prices were steep and although the music was good I did find people a bit rude and unfriendly. At some point a guy just came and set at our table and in spite of asking him to leave repeatedly, wouldn't budge. Since we were there with a bunch of girls, we had to ask security to remove him, which they did. Unpleasant nevertheless.
The Embassy is on the ground level a bar and on the lower level a club. They have a star studded clientele and are based in the hart of Mayfair.
So it is great if you first want to have a nice dinner with the girls and then to go in a nice club.
I personally do not like this venue very much, because everything is very expensive there and I think you do not get the value back.
The restaurant serves really nice and tasty food. They have a really modern and exquisite decoration, but the club looks more like a big basement and it is always very crowded in there. I personally did not like the DJ.
So just 2 stars for this former hotspot of the london Clubbing scene.
