A shop for children should have a little bit of magic inside and this one has. Sparkle, sequins,flowers, buttons and bows it is all here to delight little feet and not so little feet. Pretty shoes for girls and ‘cool’ shoes for boys.
You just can’t leave without buying a pair or two.
Maybe you won’t get Dorothys Red Shoes here but you will find your ‘dream’ shoes.

Maddie and Marks is the ultimate in kids shoe shopping. The choice of style and size/width is fantastic. My daughter always feels like a princess when we visit the shop. You are always guaranteed to find something different - they stock a great range of european makes that you just don’t seem find elsewhere in Edinburgh. The downside is that you pay for the quality and choice - my purse is always very noticeable lighter after a visit. This said, you pay for what you get. However, it would be lovely if they put prices on their display shoes. One other point to note is that refunds are only given on damaged shoes. If you just change your wind you will be given a credit note. All in all, if you are a shoe-aholic (or your child is one in the making) this is the place for you.

This is a great little shoe shop for little people. They sell only children’s shoes and arguably some of the coolest ones around. It’s not the boring clarks school shoes many of us were saddled with during our childhood…. Maddie and Marks sell sparkly silver baseball boots and pink wellington boots with plastic butterflies perched on the front. The shop has become a bit of a local phenomenon and the owner has recently expanded with a second shop. Any kid is going to leave here happy. BUT you’ll be sad they don’t come in your size.
