Fabulous Fakes, Edinburgh

This wonderful little shop is full of sparkling jewels and is THE place to go if you’re a magpie for sparkly things like me. Fabulous Fakes sells second-hand and vintage costume jewellery and most things are a reasonable price - we’re not talking ‘real’ diamond prices here. I always pay a visit if I’m looking for an extra special gift for a friend…. or if I think I deserve a treat myself. The lady who runs it is obviously very into her jewels and will often tell you the history of the piece you are buying. Some of my most treasured pieces of jewellery have come from this gem of a shop. Just writing about it is making me want to go again….
