I went to Valentinas this morning and was served a
Patisserie type thing and the cream was covered in green mould.
About 5 areas of furry green mould, each area about the size
of a 5 pence price. How the staff could a) serve anything that looked that bad and b) let their food go bad to such an extent is beyond me. This is the second time I have been in here and I will never eat in there again. Both visits a bitter dissapointment.
This is the most attractive place. Whoever does the shop & window displays deserves a medal. Half of the shop is an upmarket deli full of luxury Italian fayre and the like. The other half is an extremely professional restaurant. Well drilled and capable staff, an 'off-piste' Italian menu and, for the quality, reasonable prices. Enjoyed an excellent seafood risotto and I hear Nonnas' meatballs are good too! A classy, independent operation that is really worthy of support.
