This is a great place to lunch,Coffee or cake.
Fantastic chicken Stew today served with fresh cut brown bread. Stew was so thick and tasty packed full of meat and veg. I’ve eaten here on a number of occations, usually lunch and have never been dissapointed.

the place is beautiful as is the fayre but it's let down by the rudest, most arrogant waiter I've ever come across in London, ney, anywhere in fact. what a shame!
Lovely cappuccino in great surroundings, sat under a great painting, felt like i was not in busy london.
Very good french bakery, offering a wide range of traditional products from different regions.
What I usually have is the Montagnard sandwich, with a tartellette au chocolat, delicious and way affordable.
I try not to walk past this pattiserie when I am in Covent Garden (which is quite often) as it is just too tempting. You have to be pretty strong willed if you can walk past and not be drawn in by the aroma of fresh coffee and the glorious cakes and tarts displayed in the window.
They also sell salads, sandwiches and some hot meals but is the cake I always go for (explains my constant weight problem!). I can personally recommend the carrot cake and my husband loves the chocolate cake!
Their coffee is good and I am a very fussy coffee drinker and the hot chocolate tastes how hot chocolate should and not the watered down version that lots of places sell.
There are not that many tables inside although the narrow front of the shop does open out to a nicely decorated room at the back. There are also some tables outside which are good for people watching.
It can get very crowded and is certainly not cheap but for an occasional treat I would thoroughly recommend this patisserie. I have never been disappointed on my visits there.
This place is great if you love a chocolatey hot chocolate! Its a lovely french cafe chain, that also obviously means the pasterties are yummy and the coffee is fabulous. But the quality does come with a price, with the steaming hot chocolate with whipped cream beiing about 4 pounds. But oh well its worth it! You’re worth it!
I think that this must be one of the first branches of the French patisserie to open up in the UK – they now seem to be opening up everywhere. However what marks this branch out is the charming café at the back of the shop. It has a lovely vintage French feel, with a pretty décor. The food options are also very good. This is a good place to come for a coffee or a light lunch, with things like pancakes, both sweet and savoury and sandwiches, alongside the expected cakes. It makes a nice change to the sometimes very commercialised restaurants around Covent Garden.
Delicious, decadent French-style cakes/pastries/sandwiches etc. I have never, ever been disappointed here - it’s utterly gorgeous!
Fantastic - that’s all I can say really!
We both adore Paul and are yet to find a branch that isn’t up to scratch.
I am very lucky in that there are two Paul’s near to where I work but this one is our favourite.
It wins hands down as it has a great tea room at the back of the shop which houses plenty of comfortable seats but with the traditional French patisserie atmosphere.
You can have anything from the great menu (hot and cold) as well as whatever is on sale in the patisserie.
Service is always quick and friendly and you are left alone to enjoy your meal.
You ave to try the coffee with cream ;0)
Paul is an example of a chain that works - good quality French pattiserie with amazing food and nice ambience.
This branch in Covent Garden can often get crowded at lunchtimes but is generally less busy for breakfast and afternoon tea. It’s not hard to find but there are many other food places that will vie for your attention in Covent Garden.
I do go back here again and again for the reliably good food.
A gorgeous little cafe/pattiserie set in Covent Garden.
You can smell the wonderfull cakes as you pass. Inside they sell a selcetion of breads, cakes, tarts and quiches to take away, or there is a varied menu should you wish to eat in.
Crepes/sandwiches and salads all start from £3.50.
It can be quite cramped in here and sometimes difficult to get a table. I often visit to grab a coffee and a piece of cake and don’t mind the wait as i know the food is excellent.
It is set down a little side street away from the crowds and is streeped in history, a good place to visit if you want to get away form the commercial side of London.
