Bog standard but tasty Italian food served in a modern, dineresque environment. Portion sizes are substantial and you can mix ingredients to make your own pizza/pasta dish, and there's a decent if unimaginative selection. Service is friendly and speedy and most of the staff Italian. The perfect place to grab something to eat before the cinema round the corner. They do all their food to take out too, including a range of paninis and cakes-I've been disappointed with these though would definitely recommend the restaurant if you're looking for a decent meal or snack on a budget. Pizzas especially are excellent value, and there's a good range of coffees and teas, including a gorgeous rooibush chai! Worth a try.
Great food, great service, great loocation
The food was wonderful and the staff were attentive, but not overly pushy for us to leave. A lovely afternoon, despite the wind howling outside! Great deal well worth it.
Where to start? There's SO much to say about this place.. Ok when you first walk in you're greeted by about 4 different waiting staff who are friendly and offer you a seat in the window or out the back where its quieter.
Everything is gleaming as its all pretty much new and your bombarded with green and red in keeping with the Italian theme, its so red and green in fact that the chairs hurt my eyes but in a good way.
Great menu with a lot to choose from: pizzas, pastas, calzones as well as about 15 different paninis, breakfasts, burgers and a whole page of dessert. The burgers are named after famous people with a real Italian vibe to them, there's the Sinatra, Di Nero, Pacino, you get the idea....
The bambinos menu is worth mentioning as well, they do a teddy bears picnic which is 2 scoops of ice cream, syrup, cream, chocolate beans and a teddy bear wafer all for £2.90 gorgeous and they do seem to cater well for children in here.
The kitchen is located in the front so you can see them cooking through the glass panels which is always nice and it always makes me think they must be quite clean if they are willing to do that. The staff are friendly but not too fast and the toilets are really nice with full length mirrors and a shelf for your handbag in the toilet itself which is always handy!
The food we had wasn't brilliant but it wasn't bad either, although we didnt try the pastas or pizza and that is probably where they excell.
Worth a look.
