I wasn’t sure what i was going to make of such an oddly named theatre, however it is lovely!
There is also a very nice restaurant. At the moment the play ‘Little Voice’ is being preformed here, its star, Lisa Riley (aka Mandy Dingle of Emmerdale)was eating her lunch in the restaurant.

Hull Truck Theatre has a long and enviable reputation in world of theatre. It's new premises now boasts two auditoria, tthe main theatre and the studio theatre. There is also an excellent cafe/bar downstairs.
Hull Truck provides a wide range of productions to suit all the family, and seldom disappoint.

Hull Truck's new home is very well designed, very spacious, with a fabulous bar.
The auditoriums are large, with superb acoustics.
Highly recommended.

I am pleased to say that it is still as good as it was and hasn't been spolit by the move. Host a great range of various shows, great comedy shows if your visiting Hull look them up on the web and see whats playing well worth a visit

The Hull Truck, or Spring Street as locals know it, is THE best theatre in the world. or was, as its now to be superceded by a new home in nearby Ferensway. Long Live Spring Street! The Spirit will live on with TWo auditoriums and better facilities for all.
New venue opens on St George’s Day, which is also the birthday of William Shakespeare. How apt!

A theatre I’m proud to have in my home town. Hull Truck always offers a great experience. they have varied events on here, Great plays, visiting comics and music and of course a wonderful friendly atmosphere. they have a nice bar with reasonably priced drinks. i will be sad to see them move from this premises but i’m sure will all grow to love the new one too, onto bigger and better things!

Due to move into a new bigger and better building, things will definatly go up, the current plays that are performed there are great to watch and can make a cheap night out, although the seating is not the comfiest. The World fmaous play Bouncrs is due to start soon, the last performace in the old building

A great theatre which is one of the cultural hearts of Hull. They have a nice mix of local theatre along with national acts including comedy and music. Of course HTT is closely linked with playwright John Godber whose plays are often performed. The venue is central and within easy reach of the rail and bus stations.

a good way to get out of the house and do something. would reccommend anyone to try, they’ve had some quite big names there over recent times and never seem to let you down when your there. very pleasant atmosphere every time i have been, no complaints.

A lovely cosy theatre. Its small and so everyone is close to the actors. It’s very easy to be absorbed into the plays.

Hull truck is a great little theatre with no stage. The audience sit in a semi circle and the arena below is the stage. You can take your pint in from the bar too.
It is a couple of minutes from the railway and bus stations and a few from the town centre. car parking less than a couple of quid.
it is famous for showing new work but is the home of writer John Godber. I have taken family and friends and parties from youth centres and laughed ourselves silly at plays like Bouncers .
A lot of famous people have played there including Sunday one man shows with people like Mike Harding. They now have coffee and cake matinees too.
it is pretty cheap for professional theater at £10.50 to £16.50 a ticket. (concessions available too) and half that for matinees.
There are cheap rates for groups of 10+ and cheap standby tickets if you just turn up.
I found the opening hours:
Monday-Friday
11am - 8pm Performance days
11am - 5pm Non-Performance days
Saturday
1pm - 8pm (Performance days only)
Sunday
5.30pm - 7.30pm (Performance days only)
This is a really great night out and has been compared to, and said to be better than, fringe.
