I really hadn’t expected to get terribly excited about Td’O-yet another shop selling home fragrances- but this is really something special.The smell in the shop is delicious and so subtle it is almost like an aura or ambience.
The fragrances come from Provence-some are flower based, with a Japanese slant (lotus is a best seller).What was unusual was the mix of scent in concoctions such as Glacier and Raindrop-you really do feel as if you are breathing the scent on a high mountain top.
Scents come in incense cones and sprays but the most advanced carrier is the” diffuser”, in which oils are placed in a glass open necked sort of vase and tall wooden sticks are placed inside like straws so that they carry the scent upwards.
Sounds overly complex, but the result was fabulous-really subtle and very sensaround.Also more lasting than sprays and less dangerous than having to burn sticks or cones.
Has to be smelt to be believed-would make a marvellous house-warming present.
