Beauty-Vital-Wellness-Hotel Birkenhof

I have been to the Birkenhof a few times with the girls. And we were thrilled and super relaxed every time. The Birkenhof has a very big and extensive wellness area with indoor and outdoor pool, several steam baths, tepidarium, caldarium etc. Also the new entrance with lounge looks great. The food is first-class; both the buffet as well as the 3- and/or 5-course menu. Highly recommendable; it's a pity that it's become a bit expensive by now.

A beautiful - if often built in various styles - hotel with an impressive wellness area. Pool, big sauna area with different saunas and an extensive outside terrace, modern fitness machines in the Orangerie with a marvellous view. The older (huge) rooms could benefit from a renovation. A hotel bar is sadly missing but, according to the hotel manager, is supposed to be actioned this year. They are currently building a new wellness pagoda and are also planning a big outdoor pool on the roof of the hotel. We spent two very beautiful days in this wellness oasis. There was plenty of food; however the quality of the cuisine - especially the evening menu - could be improved on. That's what I would expect from such a beautiful hotel with good wellness offers - but was a bit disappointed by the cuisine.
