we have our caravan in parsons green for 18 yrs ,i been going there with my wife and family for all these yrs ,is the most relaxing park in the country,u have the chipshop n site aswell as the coffee shop,&theres ponyrides, boatrides.and theres a lovely petfarm there aswell to enjoy.and theres a excellent play area for the kids especally on a rainy day.another gd point aswell it is a safe campsite for children as its in off the main road.people come back after year from all over the country cause they know they meet there friends.since my retirement its a great place 2 go.The owners of the campsite cant do enough for ya .

i have been camping in Parsons green for the past 15 years with my 4 children. The management of parsons green are outstanding. they help where-ever they can.The place itself is run away from a main road so allows a safe environment for the kids to play. I would recommend this campsite to anybody.great enjoyment to be had.

Review of PARSON'S GREEN CAMPING & CARAVANING from 29 July 2011

Just returned from a week in Parson’s green (July 2011). The site is excellent, superb facilities, clean, spacious, friendly, and very reasonably priced. It is only 10 minutes walk to nearby Clogheen Town, where you haver access to Shops, Restaurant/Takeaway and Pubs. Unlike other Campsites I have stayed in, The Showers were always Hot & clean and the Toilets were always kept serviced.
The on/site Cafe has very good snack food and prices were reasonable.
The stunning Mountain Views, provide the perfect backdrop to the Campsite, it is ‘picture postcard’ unrivalled by any other site, I have stayed in. The views are therapudic & heavenly and you have this real feeling that you are so close to nature.
We had a great week of Chilling out, Unwinding and destressing. The Riverside walks, Petfarm, Pony rides and Boat rides were a big hit with the Kids. The key to our enjoyment, was the fact that the Kids were always entertained and occupied and very Safe.
I also noticed quite a few German, French and Dutch Camping enthisiasts on site. This is always a good sign, as the Continentals only choose the best Sites.

We cann’t wait to return to Parson’s Green, hopefuly for a week in late August. This longing to return, is in no small way attritutable to the friendly Owners, Great Facilities, Stunning Location and great value for money

Horrible Experience, I've recently stayed in parsons green with my family and our weekend was ruined by the attitude of the 'lady' that run the campsite, she has no time for kids what so ever and at one point she physically pushed my son and asked him to leave the play area which made him was extremely upset, when i asked her why she done this her only explanation was that the kids were running around. This lady informed me that she was running this campsite for 20 years and in my opinion she is running it like a boot camp.

The camp is staffed by children, that don't seem very happy to be there and are definately not interested in good customer service.

I would not recomend parson green to anybody and I would certainly never return again.

Owners and staff happy to take your money but do not so happy to deal with customers or to provide a friendly services.

facilities good but staff and owners dreadful.

One star for facilities.

I'm writing this review as somebody who didn't actually get to visit Parson's Green. We had intended staying here at Easter, we were in Tipperary the weekend before with our camper van so decided to call in and have a look at the site before booking. I went up to the office and explained to the "lady" there that we were intending staying therethe following weekend and I asked her if it was ok for us to have a look around to which I got a very curt response "you have to pay to look around". Needless to say we won't be back, if that's the way she speaks to people before they've handed over money I'd hate to see her attitude after you've paid. I will be telling friends about my experience and won't recommend this campsite

I've recently visited this campsite and I can honestly say it's the best place we've found in the last number years for our kids. The location itself is nestled in the heart of the vee vally and the scenery is beyond picturesque, especially the views of the mountains that surrounds the locality. The local village of clogheen has a well stocked supermarket and several pubs where there is much craic to be had. Onsite the garden and river walk is an exquisite experience, and the kids just adore the pet farm where they get to see and engage with a wide variety of exotic birds and farm animals. Activities include horse-and-trap rides, pony rides, crazy golf and a most delightful boat ride that takes you along the river where the swans and ducks swim gleefully beside you. There are several points along the way to picnic and take it all in. The park has numerous facilities which includes a quaint cafe, hot-food takeaway, laundry room, kitchen and most convienant the showers there are FREE!!! Parsons Green boasts an indoor AND outdoor playground which entails hours of fun for the children. The owner often holds a Disco for the kids which allows them to easily make friends and settle in better. The management and staff were most obliging and helpful and they went well out of there way to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. There was an all round enthusiastic atmosphere from the other campers all of whom were up for the craic and the kids were crying leaving friends behind begging to go back again for more. I would most definitely reccommend this place to families with young kids looking to relax and have a good time. There are loads of nearby activities and sights to take in such as Mitchelstown caves, Cahir Castle, Swiss Cottage, The Vee Valley, the Rock of Cashel, Glengarra Woods, Clonmel town, Cahir Golf Club and much more.

Couldn't get out of this place quick enough. The campsite in fairness is very good. The river walk, playground and the pet farm are its strong points. The fact that the place is run by kids most of the time is a weak point.

Just stayed there for 5 nights - Thursday night fine
Friday, Saturday night - nightmare. Every scumbag and his mother seems to use it at the weekend. They let their kids off the leash to run amuck.Loud music till late on Saturday night.

Sunday night and Monday night - back to "Normal" camping and caravanning enthusiasts.

Would i recommend it to anyone - No
Would i visit it again? - Maybe if under new management.

Get the feeling its been inherited by people who don't really want to be there but to make money. Even down to the phone call to book the pitch - Phone is answered "Hello....." - Not "Hello Parsons Green, how can I help you...." "Can I make a booking please" - replied by a loud "Tut - wait till i get The book"...

This is another place i love going too visit it is another great place for family's. There is an indoor and outdoor play ground, pony rides, pony and trap rides and trips down the river it is a place that all kids will love. There is a nice walk around the site where you will find all types of farm animals and birds. There is a chip shop and coffee shop on site. The village off clogheen is only ten minutes walk from the site were you can get live music in the local pubs and there is a spar super market. It is well worth a visit. The owner PJ is very helpful as is the staff.

I’m just reading some of the reviews on the staff in Parsons Green and i cannot believe they are talking about the same people i have come to know from my trips down and they don’t sound like the same people i know. They have being nothing but helpful to my wife, son and myself any time we ask. I can not wait to get back down to relax and meet the regulars
