This place is very unique members club in a rather obscure area not far from Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park tubes. You are only allowed in if you are a member or with a member- however occasionally they host nights when you can just pay at the door. I once went to a very cool swing/-hip hop night which was quite something! The club has several rooms, some small ones and some large ones. They have DJ decks in some of the rooms which you can hire out for the evening if you want to have a private party. There are various bar areas each with a different atmosphere. It’s a great place because it’s so different to the usual bar.

Despite what Fcourt says, the club is still cool! The wonderful club night that is Rockabaret is held there and it’s perfect for it. The old Victorian decor is fantastic. Especially with the stage. Perfect for performances and bands.

They have shows on frequently. Now, yes it’s still a private club, but they have an open guest list most nights so don’t worry about that.

The downstairs bar is lovely. Lots of fish in pretty coloured tanks. It’s not cheap, but it’s not surprising. That said, you can get a bottle of beer for about three quid. Or, get trollied on very cheap wine for about the same price.

The club nights have really made this place what it is. The club is perfect for all the extravagent club nights and parties that it holds. So get dressed up, get yourself on the guest list and do some dancing!

The Cobden Club used to be cool in the 90s… It’s been a while since nothing really good has taken place there beside private parties and the whole area really lacks a great bar/club (whether it’s private or not).
