Total rubbish.
No range, impossible to find anything and the guy in the shop was incredibly rude.
If he was the owner, he’ll be out of business soon. If he was a staff member, he should be shown the door.
I was there to spend money but refuse to shop there for now on.

This is a great friendly comics shop, most other shops like Forbidden Planet have forgotten that its meant to sell comics not toys & the goth factor is getting silly. Deadhead, is more 'Freak brothers’, good stock, plenty of back issues, ranging mainly from 1980s to modern. Owner will usually be sitting behind computer playing Warhammer so you dont fell like he is watching your every step, like you can get in some bookshops. I’d recommend this place over forbidden Planet anyday. parking is a bitch thou. best to park on Chambers Street. £2 an hour! ekk!

Deadhead is one of two comic shops that can be found in Edinburgh and is the only 'indy’ one out of the two. Located just down from the Greyfriar’s Bobby statue on George IV bridge, it sports a great, clutter-free lay out and plenty of titles to choose from, including a great selection of back issues. I’ve been shopping there for over 15 years and have never had a problem. The staff are always up to speed with any new titles that are out and are a great help when it comes to tracking down back issues that you may have missed. Highly recommended if you’re looking to feed your comic fix.

Deadhead is a wonderful independent comics shop. Recently revamped, the shop has a smart touch over its naturally darker old-town building, giving it an almost gallery like feel. This is aided by the carefully laid out new comics stands along one wall of the shop.
But there is no pretension here. The shop has a carefully selected stock with a great selection of graphic novels, collections and less well known publications to compliment the vast array of monthly comics from giants DC and Marvel. There is also a nice selection of old comics ordered constructively in large boxes centring the shop. Perfect for touching up a collection or picking up a random read.
The staff are knowledgeable and quirky. Don’t be surprised to be greeted with loud music blaring from speakers while the assistant sits playing games on the computer. This just adds to the atmosphere and you’ll find them far more friendly and informative than at chain store Forbidden Planet. Incidentally, Deadhead also feels considerably more mature.
Deadhead will also organise monthly orders or search for something specific for you or can simply recommend.
A fantastic neat independent comic shop. Highly recommended.

This independant comic shop offers an eclectic variety of comics. There are all the major favourites such as Marvel, DC and Image, as well as some lesser known titles. The friendly staff are always willing to order in anything not already in stock. They also have an interesting collection of posters, graphic novels and manga.
