The Forrest café.. The grungiest and by far the most laid back café in town. Run by volunteers, this is a green/vego/peace&love kind of place, with cheap healthy food, couches of varying degrees of comfort, and just the right atmosphere to start anything from a book-reading club to a revolution. The menu is dictated by who was volunteering yesterday, the music is a random collection of cd’s donated by artists who have performed at the Forrest over the years, and the second-hand donated cloths cupboard is a free-for-all. A small gallery room off to the left of the main entrance plays host to all manner of exhibitions and exhibitionists. The general community notice board is eclectic, and sometimes even useful! This place has so many facets it breaks up space-time continuum and I love it.
