The Grahamstown National Arts Festival is an annual festival held in the heart of this little student town. It is held every June/July while the students are on holiday, and this town buzzes like it has never buzzed before.

It transforms into this hub of festivity - with everything ranging from comedy acts, to street theatre, to international ballet performances. Even the local children get involved and put on little performances for the tourists who envelope this town.

The festival is an amazing experience, and people from all over the world flock to this tiny town to join in. Every single venue in town houses some sort of performance - from churches to school yards. The town heaves with artistic genius for 2 weeks before becomming the sleepy little hollow known and loved by the students once again.

A definite must do - year and year again!
