Pleasant enough pub just off the main Crouch End broadway.
They have a screen for sports and a slightly raised area over to the left that, while it is essentially rather pointless, looks right somehow. Seems like a nice place to sit by the window and kill time.
Enjoyed an excellent pint of one of my favourite drinks, the St Edmonds Gold and also managed to slip in a taste of a guest ale they had on too. I’d like to come back here!
if they had better beers on tap it would be perfect.
Best place to watch sport in Crouch End. Decent-sized cosy outside garden bit too for smokers.

A very relaxed place just off all the main often overcrowded bars and restaurants of Crouch End.
Helpful, pleasant staff and a good selection of wine & beers.
The food here is always well cooked with a choice of light bites sharers and mains, eaten here a few times now and never been dissappointed.
A great place to relax and unwind with friends or family.

It is always a nice surprise to find a quiet, friendly, safe-feeling pub in London, and I have only recently discovered this one so am singing its praises. The Maynard Arms is large, and has a good outside area with big tables and - yes! - heaters! Non-environmentally friendly, but who cares when you need chain-fags with your pints? The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s not the sort of place where you get stumblingly, roaringly drunk and lurch about the place. Far too nice, with luxury toilets and general charm. They have live music sometimes too.
