Came to do a bootsale today and found out you can't go in till 9 am which is not very good as the amount of cars that's queing up the roads are silly should just let people go in and set up .

A top class big city boot sale - one minor point though-why does it need to start and end quite so early? Wouldnt it be an idea to allow people to have a lie in on weekends and start and end at say 10 - 5 ?? Or at least have it lasting until later in the afternoon. Not everyone wants to get up at 5.30 am to set up a stall after a full working week surely!?

I've always enjoyed Bessemer market, spent many hours rummaging but never come along as a seller. I've just bought a quirky little van with a coffee machine on to sell freshly ground coffee and tea, would I be able to come along in it please - we aren't any competition to the big boys and we dont sell burgers etc. I'd love to be able to come along. Thanks Andy

Can you let me know if the bootsale is still on tomorrow and what the price is? Also, if the weather is bad, would it be undercover? I have done a few car boot sales but this would be my first time at bessemer rd.What time should I arrive?

Bessemer road boot sale is a great place to buy and sell almost anything you want all year round. The rates are reasonable, the hours plenty and lots of tea,/burger vans to keep you going. Its a great morning out both Saturday and Sunday and beats staying in doing housework any day! I always have a good laugh at Bessemer and have got to know many of the friendly stall holders.

DavidCardiff, 8 December 2010:I've done a bootsale under the cover at the side of the site but you don't sell very much. People tend to stick to the middle of the site which unfortunately is not covered. Next time I'd definitely avoid the sheltered area and take a chance with the weather.

I am a stallholder,and since ive been trading at this market, I have picked up some wonderful bargains,met some really great people, and look forward to every saturday and sunday.
Oh, and i’d better not leave out the organiser of this brilliant event,
“ANDY”....top man..
So come and support this bootsale.
From used furniture,sofa’s, beds,tables,etc.. to motorbikes, prams,dvd’s.you will be surprised what items you can pick up at bargain prices.
Even chicken curry for lunch from Dave…mmm lovely jubbly.
COME ON ,PEOPLE OF WALES,KEEP THIS BOOTSALE ACTIVE..

Bessemer Road is really good. It runs on a Saturday and Sunday and also bank holiday Monday. There is always a good selection of stalls to have a good look through and a number of burger vans for when you get hungry! The easiest place to park is on the road and then wander down to the fruit market site. If you are a stall holder, then you queue up outside until the gates are opened to let you in.

Parking is fine, stall selection is amazing and if you love markets then this is the place to go all year round every Saturday and Sunday.
There is a car boot on the one day and a market on the other - as far as i remember, the car boot is on the saturday! It would be great if other qypers could help out with details too?
There’s plenty of things t obrowse on boths days so well worth a visit if you like markets - on either day.

A rumagers dream, you can get anything from an old nut cracker to a moth eaten teddy bear.(not that the moth would be to everyones taste) A veritable haven for the bargain hunter. Just loose yourself amongst the stalls. Bet you can’t resist buying something. For booking a pitch ring 07967123016 guy’s name is Andy. Oh if you get taken short while your there there are toilets. There are also refreshments for sale .

For the last 20 years we have opened at 9a.m. on Saturdays, as until then the wholesale market is in progress. It is well advertised as this time.
