The Leopard

Went for a drink for the first time since the refurbishment and it was a bit of a disappointment.  It's hard to see where the money was spent as it still seems like much of the old Leopard.  Same layout inside with a bit more wood, and not much atmosphere.  Still frequented by the same old locals.  The toilets are still very old fashioned and don't appear to have been updated.  The worst criticism is the very poor service at the bar.  It looked like there was 4 bar staff working, one moving glasses around, someone in a shirt who looks like the bar manager and essentially two people serving.  It took ages to get served and it wasn't even busy.  The barman seemed to have trouble with the till.  Subsequent trips to the bar were the same, the one in the shirt apparently spends most of his time throwing an empty wine bottle up and down whilst people were waiting to get served.  The fourth pint was flat and cloudy and shouldn't have been served.  No sign of the new manager's which is always a bad sign.  We didn't eat there and wouldn't bother after the bar service.  If I was Joules I would be very worried about their investment - the place was hardly busy, the last Friday before Xmas. 

The Leopard Nantwich has recently undergone a major refurbishment after being bought by local Market Drayton Brewery Joules - renowned for its Pale Ale.  The Leopard serves excellent cask ales, traditional home cooked British dishes and provides exceptional customer service, all in a welcoming comfortable environment.  Www.leopardnantwich.co.uk

great food and staff are very friendly its so a great place to take the children. good sized playing area which is safe and secure

Tables and glasses were not very well cleaned but the food was brilliant of a bit over priced
Looks like a food place to take the kids if money is not so much of an issue.

A good stocked bar with friendly staff.
