I went to Matsuri to celebrate a friend’s birthday recently. We had chicken teriyaki, assorted sashimi, assorted tempura, assorted sushi and lemon sorbet for dessert. We had some sake too. The bill came up to about £60 per person. I was very disappointed with eth quality of the food for the price that I paid. The worst was the chicken teriyaki, it was not well cooked and the teriyaki sauce tasted horrible, very much like a dark enhanced version of soya sauce.
The interior was quite well presented; with contemporary décor. However, I would not recommend Matsuri to anyone as the food is really not worth the price.

This is a lovely Japanese restaurant with fantastic food, attentive waiting staff and nice decor. I think the food here is better than Zuma and doesn’t dent the bank balance as much either!
The teppan yaki area plays host to the pre-theatre set dinner from 6 - 7pm for £25 per person. The food is so beautifully presented it seems a shame to eat it.
The only negative is that it lacks atmosphere - it’s been less than half full every time I have visited.
They also provide a bento delivery service in the WC and EC area which is ideal for working lunches.
