No stars. They were appalling. The promised to get the work done in two days – it took three. Even then the boiler they installed was not working properly. We had Vaillant in and they said nothing was wrong with the boiler – it was their work. We had to keep calling them. They then came and said all I could expect from a Vaillant Combi-Boiler was tepid bathwater and that I had to live with it. They also caused a leak in my ceiling. I have since checked with friends who have Vaillant Combi-Boilers and they said it was simply not true – that their water was piping hot. Then Capital had the nerve to say my taps were not compatible with the boiler! We refused to pay until they set things right. When they came to supposedly put things right they snuck behind my back, removed the boiler and walked out. So after five days without heat and hot water I now have two or three more days without until I can get Briitish Gas in. Give these guys a wide berth.

David at Capital Boilers is brilliant. I have just moved in to a flat and found the boiler was broken from day one. After ringing round many companies to fix the problem / replace the boiler I luckily came across Capital Boilers.

David quoted me one fixed price to fit the boiler and power flush the radiators. When he came across unexpected problems or additional work he just got it all done – still all included in the one fixed cost. He also came on a Saturday for no extra cost.

I even had to go out for the weekend and leave him working there all day. He finished all of the work and returned the next day to drop off the keys and collect payment.

I absolutely couldn’t fault him, he is knowledgeable, honest and efficient and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend this plumber, he came and fixed the boiler problem the same day. I feel that he did a very good job at a resonable price and even though he didnt supply any new parts he gave me a 3 month guarantee on the work done. I will definitely use him again and i would recommend him to a friend.

We called David on Saturday morning and he was able to get there on the same day. He was not able to fix it that day but promised to come back on Tuesday to fix it, which he did. They were reliable and quick. As far as value is concerend, we don’t have previous experience with boiler engineers, but seems reasonable. Would definitely call again.

Capital Boilers did a Power Flush of my central heating system. They were reliable, trustworthy and did a good job. Dave also explained exactly what the work involved which was useful. I would definitely use them again for plumbing/boiler related work.

Capital Boilers were reliable and at a competitve rate, the time was charged fairly. Dealing with David he even returned later shortly after leaving to double check a boiler fault which was fixed the next working day replacing the correct part.
Often finding a heating engineer can be difficult without recommendation. I will recommend capital boilers to friends and colleagues.

We had no hot water and were getting a specific error on our Vaillant boiler. I investigated as much as I could on the internet as to what the error was. Dave gave a really decent quote (much less than Vaillant) and could come round the same day. Dave was clear on how much the job would cost. He had diagnosed the problem within a matter of seconds and showed me the exact prblem and also how to prevent it in future. Our hot water is now hotter than it ever was! Will definitely use him again.

Having spent over a week without hot water in a freezing cold spell because nobody could recommend a decent boiler engineer I eventually tracked down Capital Boilers through the internet and the impressive reviews on Qype. All I can do is reiterate the previous comments in that Dave was friendly helpful highly informative and offered lots of advice and recommendations about possible options in the future. The charge was reasonable and he provided a receipt with a one year guarantee. You can't ask for better than that. I would not hesitate to recomend Capital Boilers.

I can only agree with the other reviews here. Had a company in who simply shut down the boiler (didn't fix it) and told me I need a new one just to give me a ridiculously high quote. He came in, fixed the boiler in 5 minutes and gave me a qoute for a grand less for a new installation.

We could detect a faint smell of gas in our kitchen and found Dave at Capital Boilers through the web. I was very satisfied with the service. Dave was friendly and honest and clearly new what he was doing. He's the sort of down-to-earth guy who you feel you can trust. Dave located the leak and fixed it at a very reasonable call out price. I would definately call Capital Boilers again with any heating, gas or plumbing problem.

I am of a fair old age and over the years have had many dealings with plumbers/central heating technitions, i have always found the majority of them to be self important types and do not worry or care about you.
I found Capital Boilers on the internet after getting nowhere with my current plumber, i really liked the way David spoke to me, open, honest and did not try in any way shape or form to con me. david told me exactly what was wrong with my boiler and how much it would cost, no messing around at all which is what i like. I have checked out his Gas Safe registration and all was good.
i thoroughly recommend Capital boilers to anybody who wants straight talking and no messing.
