Banstead Sports Centre

Banstead Leisure is an excellent facility.  It has a great 25m pool that is not too busy.  A smaller pool for toddlers with regular classes.   A medium sized well equipped gym and 3 squash courts.   It even has a couple of dance/aerobic studios.  The changing rooms are large with areas for family changing and lockers that all have keys that work.  It even has a cafeteria with well stocked drinks machines.

I love this place because it's clean, its not too busy and has a good sized car par.  Best of all it has a health suite with a steam room, sauna and showers.  The staff are friendly and well organised.  

You can use the facilities on a pay as you go basis or you can become a member, either way it is very good value for money.  Outside of privately owned chains like David Lloyd  or Virgin Active its best value for miles around.

My only gripes are that there is no WIFI and no lounge area to enjoy the coffee (which is not great).

I (since aged 7, at least) have only used the Sports Centre for the gym, which is small but pretty adequate. Has televisions, and doesn't seem to have a large membership so despite being small, never that busy in my experience. Major plus is that you can pay per visit, which is the main reason I use it. Staff never seem that present, so depends what you're looking for. If you want to feel like you belong to a club then probably go somewhere else but if you want to save money or just use a gym very occasionally then this is a good bet. And the car park is massive.
